Imagine buying TGC mounts in the cash shop

They all quit already.

It’s not that at all. I would love for everyone to have a chance at any of the mounts I have, including the ones being discussed here. I don’t want them to envy me, I want everyone who has the mount to be proud of it.

The problem isn’t that. The problem is the existing stigma against store mounts. If that stigma could be eradicated somehow, then there would be no issue with selling any mount on the store.

While I don’t care if people envy me or not, I don’t want anyone treating my spectral tiger the way they treat Wen Lo. I don’t like how they act when they see store mounts, as though I’m a terrorist because I bought it (nevermind that I got Wen Lo for free.)

If we can drive away the people who stigmatize store mounts, then anything goes IMO.

Don’t really care about them to be blunt.

They’ve had, in many cases, over a decade of enjoyment from those items. They can now learn to share or go whinge in a corner.

Or nothing changes.

Ok. But if that’s the reasoning they also need to make all exclusive items from Collector Editions, BlizzCon, and RaF available for purchase or bundled with a six month subscription. It’s only fair, considering those were all obtained with real world purchases.

Game would have to be on the verge of actually being taken offline for something like this to happen.

They need to just add all TCG mounts to the BMAH loot table, while they’re at it, raise the gold cap.

(I already have them all, i just think it sucks that they’re almost impossible to get now)

I know, that’s why Western clients didn’t get the mount.

Ew, no. Shooting a cap to a dead realm then waiting for a year is cringe.

Yes.

Okay? What, did you think I was going to disagree?

Blizzard makes digital collectors editions of WoW available for every expansion. If they want to put previous CE rewards on the store, they should. Let the people who missed out on those items get them.

Same with previous RAF rewards and Blizzcon rewards.

No more “cringe” than slapping ultra rare and expensive items on the Blizzard store for a few bucks.

Nope, just want to see how deep your FOMO ran.

It doesn’t run at all.

I’ve never been a fan of exclusive items, especially since it gives people a chance to price gouge after a certain period.

Hell, the Reigns of the Swift Spectral Tiger goes for $7000 these days. I don’t think that’s reasonable, at all, so if Blizzard wants to put it on their store for $50, $100 or even $200 I am 100% okay with that.

If the card does then it includes both mounts.

You can’t sell the individual mounts for real money, just gold.

Wait a year. See: Halo Infinite

Obviously I am referring to the card, which is really the only place you can get the mount these days. Yes, technically you can redeem the card and then trade the mount and the pet for in-game gold, but no one does that.

Yeah, actually the biggest pain selling these things.

Buff gold cap pls

It was so close to being such a nice amount to pay for something.

This has always been how Blizzard and it’s player base have operated though. It’s how Blizzard set it up so people could express their status. Whether it’s in game or the perception of real world success by swiping a card. They knew it wouldn’t go over well so they only did it on the Chinese client. Westerners in general are elitists and obsessed with having more than the next person. Which is why I don’t expect Blizzard will risk the backlash.
