Born into a community that isn’t self aware. The love you in their own way but cannot understand you and you cannot understand them on some fundemental level. You have a level of perception they do not. You have something that cannot be taught. You have no idea why you’re different only that you are. Imagine the loneliness.
Until you have kids and they too have that difference to them. Finally someone who you can truly connect with. Someone who you can share the feeling of knowing yourself in the reflection of the local lake. Imagine the joy.
Warcraft is a role-playing game, even though many tend to treat it like an e-sport game. Blizzard caters to both types of players…though it seems more and more to the latter type, probably because e-sports are more profitable.
Warcraft is a game that can be played in many ways. It is like the proverbial elephant in the dark room where people feel around, some feeling its leg and thinking the elephant is like a large tree, some feeling its trunk and thinking it’s like a hose, some feeling it’s tail and thinking it’s like a rope, etc.
End game people think WoW it’s an eSport game. RP people think it’s a Role Playing game. AH people think it’s a business game. They are all wrong in thinking it is just one of those things. It’s like an elephant being perceived differently by different people.
Well I understand that Blizzard is making players jump through hoops to profit of the false sense of achievement and accomplishment , so I kinda feel that way around all the Humans around here
Let me stop you right there… that poor thing is dying alone without kids XD.
The irony is, they actually AREN’T. Unless you’re a game that managed to monopolize the early 2000’s craze for Esports and have that niche community like LoL or Fortnite.
WoW and similar games don’t benefit much at all from the RWF and whatnot, which is why it’s odd they prioritize it. WoW is one of those games rather boring to watch, but fun to actually play, or it was till they ruined it.
I’m usually a smart Alec and would crack some joke, but this is the first time I’ve read a post on this forum that actually got deep and used common sense and logic and it really took me by surprise. Most people don’t understand that Hamlet only played the fool, but wasn’t actually one. Sometimes being what they think you are prevents them from seeing who you actually are… An observer.
Of course, OP might be trying to imagine evolutionary history, in which case it’s probably a mistake to think of sapience as a single trait with a clear on-off switch.
does some hand waving about oathsworn/thregar awakening to attempt to make this discussion relevant to WoW
