Hello, to be quite blunt I am very bad and am looking for help. In 2v2 I am 1400 and 3v3 the team I am playing with is pushing 1600… In every match up though I feel like a hindrance and I’m not contributing much to my teams.
In 2v2 I play with a fury warrior primarily, sometimes they play arms. I play resto druid…
In 3v3 I’m playing with WW and Arms warrior and it feels like they do all the work.
I’m not sure what I can do and I don’t feel like I can keep up with damage/burst at the moment even with iron bark and bark skin.
Basically, can any restoration druids help me? I’m trying to contribute and be better for my team but I feel like I don’t have a GCD to spare at the moment.
TL;DR: I’m a bad resto druid and I am not sure what I can do to make myself a better player.

Idk much about rdruid but I do know to not play with a fury war in arena.

Mm hunter down to do some games if you wanna add me zortar#1528.
unfortunately it’s a pretty bad time to be an rdruid atm. i haven’t played druid in a while so i can’t really give any advice, but id suggest to watch some druid streamers like minpojke and flop. i believe their vods are free
also you have a good attitude, if only some other posters in this forum could adopt the same
watch streamers, see what they’re doing that you’re not, be open to constructive criticism and you’ll get better over time

dinoe says part of being good at ww/arms + rdru is feeling like you’re not offensive enough, but simply keeping the melee alive is a win condition 90% of the time. @Nmhs
I would agree with what dinoe said, obv hes higher rating than me but at 2k cr its way too punishing to try and get off cyclones and do rake stuns currently. Just focus on avoiding cc having ur dps peel for u and keeping them alive.
Thanks guys, I’ll keep trying to push and play better. Just feel bad for my teammates.

You’re playing arguably the most difficult healer to master, and further hindering yourselves if the warrior is fury over arms.
Fury is just worse than arms in every way. And this isn’t line a “it’s fairly close, but arms is a bit better” situation. Arms is one of if not the best melee in the game, whereas fury is arguably the worst (PvP).
With regard to yourself, just keep practicing. As an ex Druid player who played one from wod through the end of BFA, I can tell you they are insanely hard to master (not claiming even I mastered it, but it took a long time to really get it down).
There are so many things you have to do differently than other healers. You have to be a completely proactive healer as opposed to reactive. You’re defensives lie within your forms. You need to be able to read incoming stuns and bear form them. It can really be the difference in life or death.
You’re mobility is your greatest form of survivability. Healers like priests and paladins generally tank things on them because they have built in defensives at the cost of mobility. Druid is the exact opposite. You can tank in bear form to a degree, but other than rolling hots you can’t heal inside of it. If melee are on you, your teammates should be slowing them while you spam travel form to run and kite.
All of this being said, I want to leave you with this. The current meta doesn’t favor resto Druids. It’s the burstiest it’s been in a long time. Druids are top tier in slower metas where their hots are more relevant, allowing you to CC stuff.
Keep practicing though. An arms warrior is probably the best class you can be playing with as Rdruid.

I’m not good at Rdruid but, I can play with you as a hunter to work with you if you’d like. I usually kite well into melee and communicate well enough. By doing this, I can slow the game down for you and talk you through matches so we could work out if you’re mis positioned or not making the most effective use of your abilities.

edit: if you’re asking what do I benefit form this, try to find games in LFG as a hunter with nothing more than 2200 exp and 14 something CR.
Resto druid is really in a bad spot right now compared to OP healers like shaman, priest. That being said I bet a good player could carry you to 1600 pretty easy.
what do you feel you’re bad at? it’s really a learning process, no one starts a pro it takes practice and more practice.
Well to start, unless I’m mistaken, you have the wrong leggo for pvp. The swiftmend one is INCREDIBLE right now. You bring the only truly reliable CC to your comp. WW/Arms have stuns, a little fear bomb, para, but not much else. So if you’re getting overwhelmed with damage, you gotta clone things to DR, then swap your clones to someone else. Make the game a 3v2, 3v1, etc. If your two DPS are pumping enough damage (which they should) then the enemy healer should not have time to dispel a random root off their other dps, that’s huge pressure lost.
I can totally relate.
Resto druid’s playstyle is probably the hardest (amongst healers), so be patient with yourself. At the moment, the spec is also not considered OP in PvP.
If you have some free time, I suggest watching the streams of high-level resto druid PvPers.
Not sure if this list is still current:

play 40 yards away from everyone at all times and use every gcd on healing
never make offensive plays if ur playing with a melee player
play with a hybrid and it fixes rdru
