it was also tyrande’s idea
I assumed that when she says “your kind” that she means undead in general.
I wouldn’t be surprised if she suddenly turned towards a death knight and hiss at them.
Exactly this 100%.
She became Forsaken when she was raised into undeath by a naaru, and then joined Lilian Voss. Being Forsaken, and Forsaken being the Horde, is what’ll get Calia killed at the hands of Tyrande Whisperwind.
And what does this have to do with Kirby?
Doesn’t he get an argument with Nathan because he didn’t want to use the term to describe himself and much less support Sylvanas?
It’s because Jaina wasn’t there that Tyrande will be enraged with her. If Jaina had returned sooner, Teldrassil would still be standing. She’ll even admit that the tree’s destruction would be partially her fault, and try to make up for it by saving the High Priestess.
To be a cancerous tumor on the Forsaken story.
Is this in Shadow Rising? I havent been able to read it yet(Covid makes trying to buy book abit of a hassle).
It’s in the opening quest, when they meet on the Frozen Throne. It is not currently on the live client.
That’s a minor detail, but there are characters like Alonsus Faol (as it’s mentioned in Before the Storm), or a bunch of undead in Argent Dawn derivatives, who are forsaken, but not explisitly horde affiliated. Like, Argent Dawn ones used to focus on their fight against the scourge above faction interests.

To quote Benedikt: “All Forsaken are undead but not all undead are Forsaken.”.
Calia is not Forsaken. I’d argue she isn’t really undead. At least, not really.
She can swear up and down that she’s “for her people” but really, she’s an Alliance patsy and has 0 trappings that would make her Forsaken in any sense of the meaning.
I would be delighted if Tyrande mistook Calia as one and took her out, though.
It’d get rid of her as a character, it’d remove any doubt that anyone was ever on board with “love and peace” for the Forsaken and really drive home the Forsaken’s original purpose as a society: the world outside is hostile, they are only safe together, as well as underline that diplomacy isn’t an option (it never has been, but, emphasis on it would really get the message across).
No. Tyrande doesn’t care. Calia is undead, the undead are the Horde, and Tyrande has a burning hatred towards the Horde, as they destroyed her home and murdered her people.
If you can’t see the resemblance between Kirby - a seemingly-harmless ball of chubby cheery joy that disguises a ravenous all-consuming soulless maw whose hunger knows no bounds of friendship, love or mercy - and Baine Bloodhoof, then I just don’t know what to say.

Yeah, coz Tyrande in her current state is the perfect example of the most loving and peaceful of the Alliance. Much like Sylvanas is the most trustworthy of the Forsaken.
I mean, if one is looking for war, they will find a reason regardless.

Her concept is taken from D&D. It’s called a Deathless, and in D&D Deathless are not considered undead either. They’re animated by positive energy.

I thought she spared Sira, an undead?
I thought she spared Sira, an undead?
Well shandris and maiev practically begged to spare her, plus she knew sira, imagine now if she wasnt a nelf and was as annoyning as calia, she as the bad habit of putting her foot in her mouth.

True, but I think it shows an opening for her to not see all undead the same. And if being a nelf helped Sira’s case, it’s not as black and white as is being suggested.
I wouldn’t mind if she killed Calia tho.
I thought she spared Sira, an undead?
Only because Shandris and Maiev talked her out of killing her.

Doesn’t matter. At least not to Tyrande. Calia is undead, the undead are the Horde, and the Horde burned Teldrassil.
