I'm SoL aren't I?

Old school player here riding the hype train for Classic!

I’ve been following some of the posts regarding how people are getting beta invites for WoW Classic, but I think I’m screwed. I’m 99.99% sure I created my account Mar 27, 2005, but my transaction history only shows to 2010. It is highly possible I created a fresh account for some reason and character transferred my Vanilla characters over.

I guess the million dollar question is… How screwed am I when it comes to receiving a beta invite?

Same things happen to me. Although back in the day I paid my subscription with pre-paid cards as I did not have a credit card back then, not sure if that’s why.

stress test starting in 2 days…err 3 days. i think thats when new wave of invites go out. so far, people invited have mostly been 2004-to early 2005. so your chances probably better than mine since i was late 2005

nope thats not it.

It is possible that you consolidated your accounts to your email address. I know the same shows for me and I checked my gmail and traced emails to the account back to '05. I have 5 accounts on 1 email address including some starter accounts.

I think they only show so far now. I just checked mine and it only goes as far back as nov 2008.

If you Google search your transaction history I think was how I did it, it took me to my WoW transactions which goes farther back than bnet. Bnet went to 2012 and my wow one went back to when I signed up in March 05. Even shows all the day credits lol

Buddy got in and his account was made in late 2009 whir nine was made in 2005 and I’m still waiting.

Mine goes to 9-22-2005 which was the free month for buying the game

It is is all RNG man, dont think about it, just relaunch your battle.net launcher every 5 min xD

Not at all, they’ll be inviting more and more people until it releases. All of it is getting wiped away anyway. Don’t worry too much about it.

I’m not too concerned. It is fine if I don’t get an invite.

I’m sure it is a long shot, but are there any old Dragonblight players cruising around the forums? I was an out of guild raid alternate for The Epic Crusade / Exigence. I was lucky enough to run through Naxx content (most of it anyway) before BC dropped.

Oh, the nostalgia…

If you don’t get a stress test invite i’ll be surprised.

How do you check

One way is to go to your transaction history on battle.net and see how far back it goes. Mine isn’t accurate to when I really started playing so beyond that there isn’t a good way to tell that I’ve found. I just remember my first day.

You could try to find your old character on warcraftrealms.

I was able to find mine and the first log was only a few months after my first days in game.

that site is inaccurate its not showing alot of dates for many of my toons like my rogue for example ive had since 2007 yet it only shows 2018 so i wouldnt trust that site for info

Y’all, the game will be out in 3 months. You been waiting years, 3 months is nothing. For real now.

Creation date is irrelevant I think. From what has been announced so far, to get a beta invite all that that matters is:

  • whether you are currently subscribed or not. You must have an active WoW subscription to get a beta invite.
  • streamers supposedly got early beta invites.

That’s it. Nothing else confirmed. There is no indication other than unconfirmed rumors on this forum, that Blizzard is prioritizing early accounts.

I created my WoW account 2 months after Vanilla WoW went live and have been an active WoW player ever since. No beta invite here either.

Right. I know there is a lot of hearsay when it comes to beta invites. I subbed and will just enjoy messing around for the summer until release. Cheers!

There was new invites near every day, sometimes multiple waves.

Personally, I’m hopeful for the stress test, and if I dont get in that I’ll resign myself to Aug.
