Be prepared to suffer losses in the 40 man raids, and praying all 40 people come online. Many many losses. Many AFKs. Many wife aggro. Many child aggro. Running to every dungeon, dying on the way to the dungeon. Bad animations. Ugly character models. No paladins on the Horde. Many rage quits. Not knowing when boss will do something that one shots the raid. Ugly pixel skins. No transmog. Waiting a month before you get 20 silver (and this will be hard because you have to repair a lot). Waiting 3 months before you can get 100% riding speed. Standing still while fighting, especially if you are a caster. You will never complete collection quests that require you to collect things from things you kill. The list goes on.
They’re both MMOs and both have heavy grinds in them.
The distinction is in how Classic rewards the grind. You grind levels to become noticeably more powerful. You grind for reputations which reward even more power.
Unlike BFA where you grind levels only to not notice power at all. Then you grind items to finish your character design and grind items again to finish the design again. The grind in BFA feels noticeably larger and it is because you’re never truly done with a character.
All in all that kind of system makes the whole thing feel pointless.
Suuree good for you! Why so defensive? Lol. Everyone believes you.

Hes 50 now.
also unlocking races takes no time at all, i got all of them done within a month.
maybe you just dont like dailies, which i ask, why have you been playing when they have been a thing since TBC?
Also “Cant wait for classic” while your maing reason for quitting BFA being “its too grindy”
see you in 3 months when you quit at level 30 in classic.
oh no he will make it to 20.
he will make it to 20 then do what most people who cry about grinding in modern do.
"alright time to get my… Wait 20 more levels till I can mount? and 1-20 is only a quater of the time it takes to get 20-40? serious!?
as someone who plays classic alot.
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Not really.
It’s a grind most definitely, but it’s a different grind.
I always felt it was a rewarding grind, that at the end of your road you felt a sense of accomplishment because you had achieved something you worked hard for
I just don’t feel that in BfA. Nothing feels that good, because anything accomplished will be handed out in a month for next to no effort to people who decided to do nothing. There’s nothing to gain from the grind in BfA outside of some allied races
So I suppose it’s all aboutbwhat you want out of the grind. Just my 10 cents
As someone who played classic and is pro classic…
Yeah, have fun with…well ANY rep grind for starters…
Post makes perfect sense.
“I hate grinding. I know, I’ll go all in on Classic where literally everything is a long grind. Once I get through all the grinds, there is virtually no end game content. Perfect! So much better than BFA”
This is the big point here. People keep pointing out that Classic is a grind but there’s a difference in how both games handle grinding. And personally the way BFA has handled it caused burnout extremely quick.
Can we move this post to the classic forum… that is what the discussion is about
Actually the discussion is about how OP didn’t like the grind in BFA which is why he’s quitting retail.
I think at this point the inmates are running the asylum on these forums and Blizz doesn’t care if these are in General or Classic Forums .
If you quit wow, you can’t play classic. Same game, different alt.
Classic grinding has gives you a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment, because the community and people around you matter. Everything has more weight to it.
BFA grinding does not. The community and people around you aren’t yours. They aren’t from your realm. You may never see them again, so who cares if you’re toxic.
