I'm only one person, but maybe others agree

-Layering
-Cross realm BGs

No. Not a dime is going to blizzard from my pocket. Vanilla is old content. It’s not very difficulty and everything will be cleared / rediscovered in about a weeks time. We are desperate for a classic server because of the COMMUNITY, and that’s it. Layering and cross realm BGs fundamentally destroy any hope of having a proper “classic” community and experience.

I’m only one person, but I want blizzard to know that I’m done with WoW and unsubbing until these two things are fixed. Perhaps others agree with me. I don’t know. But go ahead add me to your 8% loss.

Cya.

the pros of layering/sharding far outweight wathever problem you think you have because 3000 (ish) people isn’t enough for your sense of community.

this isn’t my issue. my issue is the implications on pvp and resource gathering.

as long as i have the ability to group with who i want too, there is no problem. Layering allows that does it not?

Layering is only in game Phase 1. To allow overloaded servers to run smoothly. I can live with it. We know the servers are going to be slammed with tourists at startup. This lets them shrink to normal size gracefully.

it does, but it can be easily exploited to farm resources, or avoid pvp.

i could live with sharding 1-10 for a few weeks.
sharding everything? yeah no.

Battlegroups were introduced in 1.12, which were basically groups of realms connected in cross realm BGs. So yes, cross realms BGs were part of classic. I swear, some people just want to be mad for the sake of outrage and have no knowledge of the subject they are mad about.

As for layering, I can see why its not a classic thing, but at the same time, calm down people. This idea that you need 10k people on your server for a healthy pop because that’s the crap they do on private servers, is also not classic. The tech available now allows people to see the zones with the amount of people in it that it was created for. Seems fine to me. I’d rather play with sharding than not at all.

its going away by phase 2. Ignore it or join classic when layering is gone

I’d rather high pop servers fill up so medium pop servers get some life.

see the problem with layering isn’t that it lets more people play.
the problem is you’re literally sharding every zone in the game.
you’re literally making it possible to farm excessive amounts of rare resources.
you’re literally making it possible to duck world pvp.

wow, the pro sharders keep moving those goal posts
at first it was, 1-10 and a few weeks won’t be bad, jsut deal with it.
and now it’s “well just deal with it”.
funny how that works.

im not a fan of layering but its better than server merging.

Let us know when you find something worth playing. No, really, my playlist is bone dry.

or get this - use sharding, but only in low level zones.
like they originally planned.

Who gives an actual F about crbgs. It was in vanilla my dudes let it go.

Okay, are you actually going to stick to your word and not play? I seriously doubt it and I expect to see you on these forums everyday until launch.

CRBGs were awful. I had to stop solo queueing because CRBGers were that awful and always wanted to do things like hold 3 or turtle. Then after making a premade, it was mind numbingly boring because you’d run into PUGs almost every time and they couldn’t even put up slight resistance.

This seems like a bit of an exaggeration. Also, if it is indeed going away in phase 2, then the resource thing is nil. I don’t understand the complaint here.

i’m gone. you pro sharders won. be happy. i won’t be touching classic if it goes live with this friggen abomination in the game.
