I cant recall enough about honor gear in wrath to remember, but cata through wod I was able to out play people in honor gear vs conquest with relative little problem.
The power curve was no where near as bad tier to tier, season to season as it is now. Just compared to normal vs heroic let alone normal to mythic.

Who decides whether the thread has a real point or not? You? Maybe youâre just too sense to see the point.
Pvp gear quality and the ease/ speed of acquisition needs to be buffed to mirror pve gearing.
I donât really understand the point of this post though, 429 ilvl is low, even for someone that just pvpsâŚ

Yeh doubt it. Reminds of that time in cata when a lower level toon was boasting about outplaying max level toons.
We had a duel I sat afk and watched him helplessly pound away at me doing little damage then after I grew tired of watching him burn through several rotations in futility I pressed bladestorm and blew him up instantly.
Iâm sure he remembers it as outplaying me thoughâŚ

You can doubt all you want the power curve from tier to tier (season to season) wasnât anywhere near as bad as it is now within the same tier

Pretty sure mop was so bad they brought in some scaling for wod. Then after wod they brought in templates.

Live the dream. If I was any good at this game Iâd spend all of my time as a rogue wrecking faces and having fun. Mythic raiding would probably take a lot of time away from PvP, but those Nâzoth weapon effects look like a lot of fun.
I do remember MoP having a huge gap. If only we had some adjustable templates with MoP classes back

I was saying from patch to patch not fresh to geared.
The scaling you are talking about helped people as long as they had WoD earned gear and it boosted it higher
The only expansion that did well fresh to geared was Legion.

And I wasnt talking about fresh
Legion was even better patch to patch.
Legion was stagnant, also killed dueling and wpvp.

Letâs not pretend those were that alive outside of a couple realms. Even on Classic, wpvp is basically raids vs a few players.
WoD and MoP had very strong wpvp and dueling scene in front of org/sw.
I was on several different crzs and I never once didnât see a large amount of people dueling out front.
Legion even with how alt friendly later in the xpac when you could easily do 1 wq and get all traits on your wpn, itâs pvp participation was lower than even WoD and legion had more people overall.

Maybe the rated scene⌠but canât expect that to go on forever.
Rogue is always going to be easy in BGs, just thanks to their far superior utility to every other class.
Just look at que times for randoms. I remember even in MoP horde bg que was under 5 min.
In wod ques were 2 min on average for horde and 4 for alliance.
Now you are looking at about 3 min for alliance and then 10-15 for horde (if not longer)
Again, they started at 20 minutes for Alliance in wod⌠merc was introduced for them. And it wasnât until blacklisting the two 40 mans when Alliance queues went down to 4-5 minutes.
And no, Iâve been having 7-8 as Horde.
