Yea, currently queues for the main faction are actually quite low. I was shocked when I came back from Classic.

Not longer than wod though. Because of blacklisting, some had really short queues since the majority were stuck waiting for 40 mans…
Yes longer than wod. I mained horde in WoD and been playing my orc monk lately.
Currently I been looking at 8-10 min for off time and then 13-18 min during prime time weekend ques. Horde side
I played this past weekend and most were about 7 minutes. I was Horde and Alliance in wod also. If you didn’t blacklist av/ioc, it’s about all you saw and very quick queues (as if they weren’t quick enough.) Blacklisting really messed with map algorithm and queue times.

I used to duel a lot in front of SW but legion didn’t have templates in duels or wpvp because they wanted to appease the people that wanted gear to matter. Curious if wpvp and duels matched instanced templates if people would have still been out there dueling. I would have.

Fixed that for you. The power creep hit exponential levels in legion and they chose to do nothing.

For sure , they abandoned balance outside of templates because they had templates to reign everything in if you were in instanced. I’m just saying what if they had templates outside of instanced like in duels or when you engaged in wpvp. Kinda like how wod gear worked. I’m doubtful people would have stopped doing duels and wpvp would have stopped being a thing.

I played on the weekend and it was 8-10. Last night I had one that was 11. Epics were 18 on the weekend, sounds identical to wod 
Not really… As I pointed out before there could be 5000 people doing randoms or 5 million. As long as the ratios of people on each faction are the same as they are now the ques would be roughly the same.
It’s identical to our current epic ques though… It had nothing to do with blacklisting and everything to do with epic bgs take a long time to fill when one side is much more populated
We just have no way to know how healthy the PvP population is. The only time we’d know that PvP was dead is basically when it is too late. When neither side can fill an epic bg and both sides wait an hour +.
It’s healthier than you guys would like to think. Same with rbgs. Still many groups running. And don’t forget Classic took a lot of pvpers for now. In a week we’ll see how the new patch goes.
You actually have no idea. Neither do I. I never said randoms were unhealthy anyways. They’re probably doing okay. However I don’t think they’re doing any better than any other time. Same with WOD, I think bgs were doing just fine.
Lol now this is suuuper debatable and I’m sure is wrong. I don’t care enough to do the math but if arenas were 5X lower I’d put a large amount of money on the fact that rbgs were way lower too.
100%… Good part of the reason classic took so many is because retail is so bad. Legion had no classic and the rated scene died. Classic just took that and doubled down on the beat down.
Even during wod, if Classic came out, would take a good chunk of players considering people have been asking for this for years, before Legion even.
I see many groups form on the group finder, fill and move on, then the list to fill back up again. I’ve had no issues getting groups even at 420 ilvl (424 now)
Absolutely. Wod would have taken a hit, any expansion woulda. The difference is legion took a hit before classic came out.
Well care to go crunch some numbers? I linked you the thread that showed the guy who did extensive math to show rated arenas had 5X the participation in wod over legion.
If we are solely going by feels mine is exactly opposite. Wod was the only expansion my guildies and I did rbgs. Had a blast doing them. Haven’t done them since because the reward vs effort is way more lucrative to do m+.
A lot of people do things for fun you know. After all, this is a video game. Rbgs are still fun.
… just like arenas are fun eh? Just because you never did them and never enjoyed them doesn’t mean others didn’t. Didn’t stop participation from dropping 5X when the reward structure went to poop.
