They aren’t, nor have they ever.
No one said they were. They are unsupported.
Good news! They aren’t!
No one have ever been actioned for “participating”, and this dumb strawman argument is rather annoying. They are actioned for receiving stolen gold, and the leeway Blizzard used to give is no longer there, since many players seem to not care about the damage they are enabling, at the very least.
The AH is a supported system, while GDKP’s are not. I don’t know how many times this needs to be said.
But you, as a player, have the ability to see a GDKP run with people you don’t know, and NOT join it. You, as a player, have the ability to understand that if you can’t control if another player brings stolen gold, then you can avoid this messy/shady situation altogether, instead of putting your account at risk.
You are only responsible for YOUR actions: the actions of joining a GDKP with strangers and accepting gold when you don’t know the origins. And this is the fundamental difference between the AH and these runs: the AH, you have ZERO control over who buys your product. Here, you have FULL control over joining and participating, especially with players you don’t know, and who likely don’t care about putting YOUR account at risk with stolen gold.
Gold laundering at it’s finest.
Alright, I think this one is about ready to be closed. Thanks, all.
