I think asking for content that isn’t slop isn’t asking for a lot
For guilds I think it is great, and worth the effort for Blizzard. For pugging, I think not. To the extent that I think any complaints from that crowd be ignored.
Just because it’s for casuals doesn’t mean it’s good content, lol.
I really tried to see what Siren’s Isle was about, left disappointed.
I mean, there’s no real goals you’d accomplish by doing those unless you start being sweaty with 'em, like the Delve ?? Boss.
All the “cool” loot is out of reach, like the beetle mount, you’re not a casual anymore if you get that far.
WoW is a goal-oriented game. People play for cosmetics and stuff, I don’t really see casuals chasing gear.
Housing is something ‘cool’ casuals can be a part of, without having to sweat for it. Like transmog.
Garrison 2.0 because Blizzard refuses to accept failure.
We won’t know for sure until we see it.
Also, have you ever seen/played Toontown Online?
A more primitive MMO was able to do it.
It’s limited by WOW’s engine, so you can’t get a semi-free form build survival game feel.
Different strokes for different folks
Just because you dont approve doesnt make it bad.
Siren Isles wasnt a content patch for casuals. It was a patch to introduce the ring and cstch up gear. Thats it
Then what are the flame-blessed irons and all the clothes you buy with it, that aren’t gems, for? And the 10k mount, toys, etc.
It’s a zone for people to grind cosmetics out if they aren’t after the ring stuff.
AoTC
KSH
Zekvir ??
Done as a casual. 10 hours a week is a lot of play time for me
The only content not for casuals in the entire game is is the mythic phase of a final boss that happens like once an expansion.
Every single bit of other content in WoW is designed for a casual to participate
Justification mostly…like all other .07 patches
I guess it’s up to our definitions, to me a casual is someone that only does auto-queue stuff like LFR and Timewalking, and world quests.
Maybe the occasional battleground or something too.
I think of a casual as someone that plays WoW as a comfort game, rather than attempt anything remotely difficult.
If it causes beads of sweat to appear on your brow, it likely isn’t casual content lol.
I… forgot about this. I played that game when I was a little kid.
Yeah, if they use that system, it would definitely work.
The issue I would see here is difficulty is different for every person.
I do not believe casual = bad at WoW
Considering how old WoW is at this point, I think anyone who’s decent at it, is past the point of being a casual.
So you firmly believe one has to be bad at WoW to qualify as casual?
Cant be good enough for N/H raiding? Or +4s?
Well, someone who plays regularly isn’t going to be bad at the game, that’s just how it works lol.
What qualifies as regularly?
2-3 hours a week makes you non casual?
May happen on the high end of things but there is like no chance anyone is going to be doing this in a 10. Perhaps on a particular boss fight?
Instead they would just pull a pack of trash at a time instead of 4. You would simply never need lust on trash anymore. The only reason you do now is because the tank wants a jump on the timer so he goes massive on the first pull.
Oh boy have I got news for you!
