Taking your time isn’t getting left behind on trash pulls. It’s not trying to optimize every little thing, every single cooldown use, every single trash pull, the number of packs you can take at once, it’s winging it and getting there when you get there without stressing about optimization.
People aren’t optimized. I’ve done keys with tanks that pulled all the extra stuff, and did none of the skips.
Tanks don’t know how to tank or the routes. DPS that don’t use most of their abilities (including damage ones.) Healers that don’t know how to heal.
They’re all found in m+.
I guess that’s one way to break the m+ races rofl.
I hope you realize you can take your time in m+ if you are being efficient.
A lot of my keys were done with friends and we were screwing around timing 20’s.
Tbh this just screams “get gud”. The timer is only stressful if you don’t know what you are doing and/or playing bad.
Yes, they aren’t always. The problem is, because of 2/3 chesting and the timer you are de facto encouraged to optimize through the systems themselves. Without them, any other incentive to optimize is purely player-personality driven, where there’s a non zero chance you’ll be told to zip it in a profane way for trying to rush it
So you want content with no failure conditions.
You know what drives optimization? The ability to complete content.
Dungeon bosses will kill you, and that’s not dependent on a timer.
And trash too.
And have you seen LFD content? People sure aren’t slowing down.
if you think m+ is terrible, “good riddance” “better for the game if it’s gone”, you literally have no need for gear if you’re skill capped at delves. Make this thread make sense.
Literally nobody is forcing any of you to do Mythic Plus.
Blizz has LFR, TW, hero/norm dungeons for you to project your toxicity unto others, and blizz even added Follower Dungeons and Delves just for you.
This isn’t an airpod, you don’t have to announce your departure, kiddos. ta ta!
That’s what they want.
But seeing as they don’t really run m+, it’s hard to take them seriously.
Like they ran m+ prior to SL. Cool. But this is the first season they’ve really participated in in years, and “timer is stressful”.
The failure condition is “the group disbands or calls it quits.”
That’s an okay failure condition.
“The group disbands or someone leaves because the timer ran out and everyone’s flaming each other”
No thanks.
Without the timer, it’s only group imposed. Player imposed. It’s a free choice.
Maybe you didn’t hear, but people are getting reported for leaving m+.
Try again.
Every boss can be done without bloodlust up.
It’s kind of funny to see the people arguing against death counts looking for imaginary problems.
No, they cannot. Some bosses become beyond the group’s capability to do them.
With “infinite” scaling, there will be a point where that isn’t true.
This.
That is the direct result of blizzard’s own systems backfiring. Leaving wouldn’t be a widespread problem if it wasn’t for the timer. That’s extremely obvious.
Exactly. And, it’s ruining the way the game is played. I’ve resorted to playing more classic now, because it’s slow.
Yup you’re right. I haven’t played this game for a very long time.
And since playing before, it appears that everyone has optimized the fun out of this game and blizzard encourages this. So whatever.
Love the years of QOL updates at least
This guy has proven in other threads he does not play this game.
Forgive him for not knowing how m+ bosses work in infinitely scaling content.
Leaving wouldn’t be a widespread problem if it wasn’t for the timer. That’s extremely obvious.
This guy is obviously trolling.
Why you care about vault? You’re not making skillful use of the gear you already have. Why even get gear?
No high keys, no 5+/8 mythic raid? You don’t do competitive damage according to your logs.
Like what do you want in this game?
And since playing before, it appears that everyone has optimized the fun out of this game and blizzard encourages this. So whatever.

The point was, people optimized the “fun” out of this game from the very beginning. There were guide books, theory crafters, and BiS websites in Vanilla.
The difference is whether you put in the effort to play well or…well, you know.
