I'm just going to say it. Mythic+ is and at its core, fundamentally a mistake, and anti WoW

So delete gear.

It just serves as a barrier to content.

I honestly would be all for them removing gear or adding templates.

Do you think you are (ironically) above average?

Gear makes it so that people have to a set of tasks (potentially undesirable) before their character is strong enough to do content. As opposed to, just playing what you want to play.

Statistically speaking, Iā€™m normally well above average. Typically somewhere around top 1pct. I havenā€™t done anything other than weekly keys this season, and didnā€™t even start for months. Iā€™m actually not even subscribed as we speak lol. I donā€™t even know how im able to chat here. Havenā€™t had playtime for at least a few days or so.

Learn to play better ya big baby

And they would be the minority. Wow had millions of players before Mythic + and classic brought back millions more. Mythic + caters to a small sector of the playerbase. Sure the large sector plays Mythic + because its part of the gameplay and required, especially for raiding, but if it disappeared, the majority of people would keep playing wow.

I highly dount that, M+ is the worst part of this game

i donā€™t think you have a clue what youā€™re talking about. i do all of those things when i do keys.

stop trying to remove things you donā€™t like just because you donā€™t like them.

Statistically speaking gets into some nuance about whether or not itā€™s time investment, time management, skill, or luck. We could have that discussion, but my question is more about how you feel you fall on the bell curve of skill.

Iā€™m also statistically above average, but I donā€™t feel this has much to do with skill. Rather, it had to do with a willingness to push for a couple of goals I wanted.

I agree, itā€™s the literally reason I donā€™t play. Itā€™s ruined everything I enjoy about this game. I know the timer removal is on the table and thats a startā€¦not speed rushing things would be much better, but still not being forced to do it at all would be the real win.

Sorry, I am with the OPā€¦they are not alone. Just because you like it doesnā€™t mean everyone has to suffer either. Make it so Mythic + gear has no effects on raiding and I would fully support you having Mythic + to your heart screams for joyā€¦but since Mythic + ruins my joy of raidingā€¦your statement is also bias.

What I said was personal responsibility.

Lower DPS and lower mechanic awareness being allowed = more wiggle room and less personal responsibility in a raid environment compared to m+

Yeah, I actually agree. When I say normal people, Iā€™m not even really referring to skill level necessarily. The amount of giga nerd crap I do to prepare for a season I actually care about is not a normal thing for a normal person to do for a video game. And Iā€™m really just referring to setting up proper party frames and weakauras for healers.

Then of course there is the time commitment to become deeply familiar with every single mob and every single ability from that mob in 8 dungeons every seasons. And any healer or tank that is effective in the game typically has a minimum of 3 classes ready to go at any time. It just adds up. I canā€™t even find a hunter that knows when to feign death.

I would pay double the sub if raid gear no longer worked in mythic+.

The level you play at does not require you to run M+.

The majority of people in this game didnā€™t raid, especially in Vanilla, so that must be why Classic revived this game. Therefore they should remove raiding because I think people just do it for gear like trinkets and stuff so they can do keys better. Thereā€™s no way anyone in this game could possibly enjoy raiding, so I think they should remove it.

No, let people enjoy things you weirdo.

this, and not even in a mean or snarky way. if your aotc guild is forcing you to run m+ to fill vault slots, find a new guild. thatā€™s wild.

Yeah I pugged through AotC and didnā€™t strictly need to run M+. I did run it, but I havenā€™t run a ton, so.

The level I play at now, which is noneā€¦but the level I used to play at did require it. During WOD I was world18th for protection paladin and during TWW I was world #1 for light smith paladins for the first three weeks of the raid season. This was before againā€¦Mythic + ruined my game experience (especially since Prot paladin was garbage until the patch that took 45 days after expansion launch to hit to make them viable for high keys again).
