I'm glad RDF isnt in the game. Thank you for hearing my voice Blizzard

Nobody is requiring you to be efficient, thats a self-imposed choice. You decide what is more worthwhile to you, speed and ease or interaction, but you’ve made which one you’ll choose clear.

it isnt better from a gameplay standpoint

But that doesn’t matter to a degree where you’ll choose it over RDF, so why is this important? Its clearly not enough for you to let go of ‘efficiency’.

i’d love to have the choice between either

But you do. Removing RDF won’t make tool + whisper more efficient and will certainly not make it as efficient as queueing. So you are willing to play in a world where grouping is as slow as it is now, except that the moment a better option arises that speed is suddenly not good enough anymore? Do you see how that seems contradictory?

Now, if being at the cutting edge of levelling speed is truly whats important to you, more so than gameplay, more so than interaction, to the extent where once you’re given a faster tool it’ll trump all other considerations, then wouldn’t you be better served by that clearly more important aspect being served?

To me it seems you’re asking for the publisher to enact restraint on your behalf. Which I dont find to be a worthwhile argument in detriment of all others who actually want the tool implemented.

Personally, I find RDF just as socially engaging as interacting with people on my server. I dont really care for server tags, but maybe some of that is due to being on a megaserver where everyone is faceless anyways.

you DONT want that

I want an easy fast and convenient route to group content that serves my megaserver just as well as it does dying realms, where people wont be grouped in wide level ranges and run afoul of the new boosting xp penalties, where ganking around or en route to dungeons is prevented, where shy / lazy / non proactive people can still group with others, where dead factions from servers like mine still get to play with others. I have no interest in removing choice from anyone; if it happens as a colateral of the tool’s popularity, I think thats acceptable due to the positives mentioned above.

Unless yall are quitting because of no RDF then you really have nothing of import to say.

Unless blizzard decides to re-add RDF, anti-RDFers have nothing of import to say.

So, it’s just the teleporting to the dungeon part of RDF that you have a problem with?

welp thats a perfectly understandable rationale. Unfortunately both I and blizzard disagree that its acceptable. so if it goes live you might just have to tough it out, or maybe inferr that you arent the target audience for the game. And thats ok too!

These bait threads are getting so old. We get it; you’re opposed to an optional feature you aren’t disadvantaged by because it’s funny to mock people who want it. Good joke!

Both him, I, and the developers who make the game disagree with you.

I don’t think keeping this feature RDF in game will hurt selective grouping at all. You guys can still play your way. It’s just down to, shall we fly there or port.

Aren’t you the guy who concern trolls constantly? lmfao

I sure am.

You were for sure disadvantaged if you didn’t use it.

With RDF you get

  • Instant teleport to the dungeon
  • +5% damage, healing done, and HP
  • Access to daily/heroic dungeon quests

I don’t understand why they felt the need to further incentivize the convenience feature but it truly killed manual group formation when an RDF queue was available.

You can still use a premade group with the dungeon finder and take advantage of those features. If you have a group of people you want to run content with specifically, RDF isn’t stopping you from doing so.

You still could form groups manually and then all 5 of you queue for RDF, or a specific dungeon. I formed groups with my buddies and queue’d RDF all the time. RDF did not kill manual group forming. If anything, more people were doing dungeons together because RDF was available.

And you can get those same benefits with a self formed group. You will just take your group and queue.

They dont have to say or do anything. RDF isnt making it into Wrath. There is nothing to justify - its not happening.

I see you met what I call the Dollar Store version of Bloomsday. Dude always talking about his parses in a 15 year old game where most classes have one to two primary buttons.

My orange lfr parses (yes someone actually logged it when I did lfr to try and get tier in retail LOL) are more impressive than any of his orange classic parses. I mean lfr is braindead, but somehow still more challenging than pretty much any classic raid fight.

Next he will tell you his orange parses REALLY MATTER because he had to do super intricate things like switch targets then switch back during a fight. Man such challenge.

And we disagree. blizzard does as well, so youve got a ways to go to convince the people who make these changes. and in my opinion, trying to do that by flaming appreciation threads, being hyperbolic and toxic, i dont think these have the affect you want them to, they just come off as entitlement to a feature, which you’re not entitled to after all it seems.

And if they do add it back, I’m coming back here to necro this thread just to quote this and /laugh at you. You aren’t ‘in the loop’, you have no more info than we do, you aren’t special, blizzard doesn’t care about your opinion. You anti-RDFers are so arrogant and full of yourselves.

Yes he is Bloomsday Jr.

“Blizzard disagrees with you, so there!” is the weakest argument ever. RDF is a feature that benefits players far more than it “hurts” them (which it doesn’t in the slightest).
