That’d explain it… seems it got removed from Steam as a result. Not really interested in setting up another such platform, but Wikipedia does say it’s on Switch. Might take a look there.
Thanks for the clarification.
And to answer the Fortnite question, I’m generally not into shooters as it is; the few I’ve played have been mostly for the story/campaign… and level editor in Halo: Reach (I had some fun making explosion-filled maps and silly mini-games/races), but that was the last game in that series I cared for.
I’m sure someone must have mentioned it but even if they did I’m endorsing it because it’s a fantastic rpg.
Baldurs Gate 3.
Granted I’m bias because I’m a huge ttrpg nerd a big hobby of mine is creating and running my own campaigns (online btw I use fantasy grounds as my vtt)… even I. The glory days of wow I’d still take a good d&d session over a WoW game session.
Anyway yeah BG3 . It has multiple possible endings btw so there’s replay ability. I have more than 200 hours played.
I wasn’t into the epic launcher at first either tbh. But they have a couple free games every week and sometimes it’s pretty good.
Meh, Rocket League is free on Switch, so I went that route.
Tried it… neat, but I definitely need some practice.
Still, a very good suggestion that got me to try something new.
Well… the Steam sale is over, but still some interesting ideas in this topic that I may check out down the line. Thanks again to everyone who contributed, this has been more useful and insightful than I had hoped.
A few days left before my time runs out, but feel free to keep the ideas rolling if you have any!

I’m going to say Valheim which others have already mentioned. Its nice because you can play single player offline/online or multiplayer. It goes on sale often, has crafting, combat, exploration, and base building. There are some quests too. Last time I checked it had sold 7 million copies on steam. On steam you can get a good idea if game might be for you by reading the discussion post and or utube videos. There are wild boars in the starting zone!
I would suggest something completely different as a palate cleanser. One of my favourite games is Master of Orion. You can either download it for free (because its freeware) and play it on Dosbox, or get it from Steam, for a pretty low price, I think. And I mean the original, from 1993.
