I'm done and the schedule is to blame

Starting at 1.12 is an entirely different discussion though.

And this is my point, the people who are mostly just interested in finishing the content and not sticking around? Why not just let them do so and be gone?

I just had a cynical thought. What if Blizz is rushing Classic in such a way that phase 6 drops 1 to 2 months before Shadowlands? Do they imagine it will convince us to switch to retail when it hits?

Nobody is stopping you from going back to retail now. You can dip back in as content drops and finish it that day, go back to retail again, rinse/repeat. No need to rush everyone else.

But adding more phases doesn’t rush anyone else.

The phases aren’t removing or even changing any of the existing content.

This matches vanill, I dont see the problem…my first raiding guild downed rag maybe a month or two before bwl dropped, and while bwl progression would have been faster with more mc gear, it was fine. I understand that people have responsibilities, but I dont know why anyone would expect a nonhardcore guild to have full mc gear by bwl; many guilds kept farming mc til aq40, and keeping things that way seems fine to me.

I disagree. Some people are already saying they feel rushed. It won’t remove anything, but it will still have an impact. For example, releasing BGs right away will impact Wpvp.

If you have 5 characters above 30 you have been playing quite a bit more than you let on, and could easily have one at 60 if you chose to spend your time on less alts.

I’m a casual player (ie 1-2 hours weeknights, and More flexible weekend schedule), and I still have more than enough time to raid, farm pre-BiS, and work towards my epic mount.

It’s sad to see Blizzard driving away casual players with this rush, rush, rush mentality. But I’m one as well.

OP. Most of this is in your head.

You will ALWAYS be behind. Most likely far behind the tryhards.

Regardless if you are leveling or max level, you will be farmed and camped.

Unless you are going to no life you will not be competing for top pvp gear, you will be on a slow grind for medicare pvp gear.

Personally I didn’t play Vanilla WoW right at launch and waited a few months. I leveled on a PvP server at the peak of the Honor Grind. It is fun, frustrating and a pretty good game.

Try it and enjoy.

With all that said, I do agree phase 1 should have been about a month longer. But its not the end of the world.

I really understand this feeling, I have power leveled on pservers and hoped that they would stick to the release schedule, instead of racing to 60 as is optimal, I dicked around with professions, trying to get items from dungeons, etc.

When they announced they were dropping DM early, I raced to 60 and started farming as fast as I could because now I only expect every single phase to come sooner and sooner, if they stuck to their schedule, I could take more time to play this game, but now I know I have to stay ahead for the sudden accelerated release schedule.

If I had known they were not going to stick to their schedule I would have no lifed it like a pserver, and had my epic mount for P2, instead I just made the mistake of playing for fun some days.

Most of the complaints could have been avoided if blizzard gave us a more solid timeframe on when the phases are released.
In my case I work 10 hours a day with a 3 hour commute leaving 2-3 hours (on a good day) weekend time varies anywhere between 4-12 hours a day.
Borderlands 3 came out shortly after the launch if classic, and I figured I should get my fill of that before dedicating my free time to classic, since it would take far less time to do. I figured p2 is gonna launch sometime late november early december. Now I’m in a bind, because when P2 hits ill be the honor farm. If i had a better idea of the timeframe, I wouldent have played BL3 and prioritized classic instead.

Your part of the problem. Content releasing to soon is crap and hurts the casual MAJORITY player base.

None of that matters except for “4 other characters above 30.” You wasted time that would otherwise gotten you 60 already on your main. That’s kind of on you bud.

Alts are great, but just do it once you are at max level and done with your dungeon grind. Plenty of time in between the 1 day a week it takes to MC to level and play alts.

Plenty of time for someone like you that can play the game religiously? Not everyone has that luxury buddy.

I’d rather they just release all of it when the game was released. We all know what’s coming content wise, what point is there gating it? Just release a finished product for once

Can tell you never played pservers

Omg did u pass 6th grade english troll?

To roughly 3 hours per day

Wasted time? I wasted time trying other characters? Go outside, drive a different route to work, eat something different for lunch. Wasted time, oof.

Agreed. Most of us will never be able to compete with the try hards anyway. The faster we accept it the better. Just let all the content flow, the hardcore players will get that stuff regardless. Get used to it.

I work, kids, wife etc etc. I still have a ways to go until 60. Hopefully by xmas. I just don’t get this obsession with people wanting 60 ASAP. You know the game starts at level 1 not 60. If you’re not 60 by now, you’ll never compete with the top players. That’s fine, who cares? Believe it or not you can still have fun in non-naxx gear. It can be done! Just give me BGs, I’ll never see a raid.
