I am so tired of Destro. The playstyle is boring, I feel dirty for rolling over players with 160k CBs. It doesn’t feel fun or engaging at all.
Please, Blizzard, for the love of all things fel, please make Affliction viable in arena. I consider myself a decent all around warlock player, and today alone, in trying to make affliction work in arena I have gone from 2250 rating down to 1600. I have literally tried every combination of neck essence and azerite trait and trinket, and it does not matter. I get 3 UAs rolling and they get immediately dispelled nullifying any damage I had going for me.
I miss affliction so much that I have literally spent the past few days just trying to make it work in 2s and 3s and it’s a struggle. Is 8.3 the savior to aff? Or should I just reroll a dk/dh like the rest of the ladder?

I feel bad for aff lock players, it used to be such an iconic spec. there’s just so much passive healing baked into classes that rot specs don’t really have a place.
Even when affliction was briefly strong in early 8.0 it was just because of 1 shot cheesing people with the drain life trait
Wod,aka the last time aff PVP was enjoyable, mostly went by with destro overall dps being very low most games, with the exception of the builder spam spec that played a lot more like live destro. Destro being a high sustained dps spec seems to eclipse aff totally for about 10 seasons in a row now
Aff is really weak atm but I’ve made it work somewhat doing 15-20k DPS sustained in 2’s. Using CoF as main essence, stacking 3x agony trait and haste/mastery/verse you can pump pretty good dmg if you keep dots up. What sucks is you’re forced into Sac pet talent since it’s one of your main sources of dmg (lol)
TL;DR Affliction does suck atm but you can have fun with it if you stack the right traits/stats
That weird because when I played you last night around 1700 you were destro/fmage/rduid, and you decided to try and emote trash talk after you finally bolted someone to death 7 mins in.
I feel your pain. I love affliction. Its always been my primary alt though i did enjoy destro as well but have not played it sense they took their execute away. Seem odd destro’s most busted expansion and i have not touched mine.
I hope they tone down some of the op specs so you can shine again.
