This is why you level alts. Have all the professions covered and you never have to buy off the AH again. Plus, it keeps you mega busy.
Wait so there is content, you just don’t want to do it because you don’t know what to do it for? What?
I’m missing something here.
I actually have a keyboard-piano (cheap one) and have played it on and off since I was a kid!
I am also heavily anti-myself tho and criticise myself beyond beleif according to others, so I just quit fast cause I consider myself too bad to start (which doesnt make sense, I know that logically: but… perfectionism + bad selfesteem?)
I have a hard time figuring out what is fun for me anymore due to my depression, and I was kinda hoping DF would have enough to distract me - but I feel lost.
I’ll try work more on professions I guess, just need to figure out how without spending a fortune on AH… <.<
I appreciate the serious responses I am getting now with the friendlier tones, too.
People seem to finally take my question at face value!
I happen to be selling a piano if he needs one. Yamaha p125. Pretty great intro digital keyboard. Nice sound, nice quality, and costs little enough where it’s worth getting now so you don’t have to upgrade soon after
yeah I just wish I could figure out what that fun on my own was… xD
Im still trying to find it, I guess
Nooooo
I don’t know what to be doing to farm it like that, sorry for being unclear.
Is it just like kill these mobs a million times?
Yeah you wanted content right? What content did you want?
I mean the information hasn’t really been unclear, WoWhead has posted fifty articles about digging dirt, farming wrathion mobs for keys, fishing etc.
Aww that’s so sweat
I have no money tho so I couldn’t afford it, and I bet we live very far apart as I am from EU.
I love when community feels this friendly tho!
Mmmh well I did some key farming, I have been digging dirt -
I guess it just got boring? ^^
That’s not content for me, that’s just grinding.
Idk if that makes sense? but - each to their own, yeah?
The problem is that I have zero reason to log in and so do many others, things seem all shiny and new right now but eventually it’ll fall apart and people will come to realize this expansion without daily grinds and mandatory power level grinds the game is not an MMO anymore.
Just takes some practice. Sounds weird, but when the game has been telling you what to do for years now, you kinda have to figure out what you like and don’t like. I like dungeons, raids, pvp, and leveling alts so I can do those things on more characters (sometimes I like to go out in the world and do a little casual world stuff like rep or collections). What I HATE are daily quests and power systems that require me to constantly do whatever blizzard has decided is required for me to stay relevant every time I log on the game.
Looks like a dwarf to me. shrug
Yes, you’re allowed to say the content isn’t for you but you’re not allowed to start a song and dance on the forums how there is absolutely no content when there is absolutely content you just don’t want to do.
You understand how deceptive that is right?
source: trust me bro I’m a level 10 troll
I liked island farming. That’s all I remember liking in a long while xD
I’m working on figuring stuff out tho and all these replies are helping a lot!
But the content is just killing the same mobs over and over, that’s the content you are talking about atm, right?
I haven’t started any song or dance saying there’s no content; I have said I don’t understand the enjoyment for said content.
Actually maybe I said there is no content, by perspective of what I have completed (like dragonracing).
I guess it gets tangled.
Unfortunately for the hardcore players who want big grinds, I do think they’ve probably reached the majority of the playerbase with DF. In terms of how much the average player plays, how much they want to play, and what they want to do. Just based on feedback that I saw pretty much everywhere during Systemlands (not that systems were SL’s only problems - story and patch cadence as well).
Maybe it’s just that the playerbase has gotten older over the MMO’s 18-year lifespan, with people having more responsibilities and activities going on outside of the game these days, and so they have less time to play and don’t want to feel FOMO because they haven’t been grinding. These are the kinds of players that see things like Choregast, soulbinds, legendaries, etc, and just go play something else instead. You may find it unfortunate, but it’s in Blizzard’s best interest to keep these players from churning. The hardcore grinders are probably more likely to still play the game no matter what, even if they run out of things to do faster.
I actually think it could use a little something more on both ends of the spectrum. On the casual side, I’d like to see player housing or guild halls eventually. On the other side, I think the tier sets for DF are a bit too simplistic and I wouldn’t mind a grind like the SL legendaries (but the taste is still sour for many following SL, so I think this is unlikely to be seen).
As opposed to what content? Like your reference to what you enjoyed last expansion was grinding anima? Which is what, doing the same quests over and over? Is that what this is all about, you want world quests back on a daily rotation or what?
You got numbers or are you speculating??
And copies sold at launch are an indication of the previous expansion’s success and failures. DF launched after Blizzard’s lawsuit and shenanigans left a huge blemish on the game. When all that hit Oribos became a very unpopulated place as many players left the game. You would have to be blind not to see that. It’s going to take awhile for Blizzard to earn that brand trust back .
There’s far more content in DF than there ever was in SL season one. In SL I had the main story and all side quests done within a couple days of launch. Not so with DF.
And we still have invasions coming next week with season one and the new raid. You can keep the mandatory maw and torgast B.S as most players hated that garbage. Now everyone is doing what they want when they want. They can run rares, do any of the many events happening in the world , run dungeons, rep grind, side quests etc. Pick what you want and go play. If you need a chore list to enjoy a game then that is a you problem.
Yeah not sure what their plan was. Hold people over with this and raids/m+ for 6-8 months? But from what I think we were told they plan to do faster smaller releases but I’ll have to see it to believe it. If nothing is on the ptr in a month or so I’ll definitely start to doubt.
I never said I liked grinding anima, but there was a variety to how to get it.
I enjoyed farming islands, which indeed is just killing mobs over and over.
Odd how I don’t enjoy it in DF?
