Will I get the TBC and Wrath eras? If not, I don’t see any reason to start, just like thousands of other players.
I urge Blizzard to respond in this thread.
I also ask the community to be active in this thread so that Blizzard has no right to ignore this question.

They already said yes. Classic fresh will progress through those xpacs just like the Classic Cataclysm group is currently.

I need an era, not just a patch for a few months. The fact that they might launch BC or Wrath servers temporarily doesn’t guarantee an era for these expansions.

Sadly they will transition, so yes, you will waste your time gearing a char, as one year later it will be useless and you start from scratch.
It is a shame that they can not come up with a Classic, TBC and Wrath forever realm, where people can keep what they worked for.

They did not say it would progress through ‘those xpacs’ anywhere.
They said it would be classic fresh and then on to tbc at some point. No where have they said it would go beyond that.

They never said anything is after TBC…

i agree we need to know now if we are gonna be able to continue to play tbc once wrath comes out. ideally we can clone to vanilla era and go to tbc and clone to tbc era and go to wrath era

Why would anybody want to sit around in TBC when Wrath releases?
The population would be so tiny you wouldn’t even be able to do anything.

Because thousands upon thousands of players genuinely enjoy TBC. People would be thrilled to level up hundreds of alts, raid, and compete in arenas specifically in TBC.
That’s not true one or two realms in an era will always be densely populated.

Logged into the forums for these threads. Glad to see a lot of them, if there’s enough noise maybe Blizzard will clarify.
Like many, my play time is limited. I don’t want to start on these fresh servers until we know how far they’re going to progress them.
