There is no problem, other than you necroing a topic 15 days later continueing a discussion that isn’t even related to the topic itself. The game is far from dead, and we don’t need you if you’re just going to complain all day and wanting to turn this game into FF. Go play FF if you think it’s such a good game.

WoW into Everquest? Ah no. That game is at least still an RPG that requires thought, strategy and imagination.
This attitude that nothing can or should change is why there is barely over 1 million subs now. Most new PvP games coming out now put everyone on even ground to start and leave it up to skill and knowledge. Fortnight comes to mind as an example. If they just standardized the PvP gear I think a lot of issues would be solved and more people would be willing to play. 18 years of hanging onto these ideologies like most things will eventually die because they refuse to evolve. It’s proven in the sub numbers.

It evolved. It got soften but still not acceptable to Soft players. Soft players are too soft. Refuse to make an effort on a competitive game. They feel entitled becoz they thought when they pay, they should be rewarded. Hey, your pay is just an entrance fee. Millions of players playing the game. The one on top of the food chain would always destroy the bottom players. Whatever competitive game you do, this would be the scenario. This is not a Hello Kitty game. FYI.
Wild theory: perhaps ZM was originally going to cap out at a lower ilvl (with sandworn relic gear as the original endgame), but they reconsidered and gave us the season 4 cypher buff early? So from their point of view, open world players have been in season 4 all along?
