Ilvl should decrease with higher skill

Former MMA at 55 would probably break you at your 55 with just their pinky.

Ah yes, the idiot is still refusing a basic question and twisting facts to suit their fancy.

Not the point. The 55 year old MMA has grown weaker over his life, despite all of his training. Sure he got to grow stronger for a decade or so, but the journey follows the same pattern, and reaches the same conclusion, for all of us.

And imagine if that MMA fighter had a bunch of assault rifles on top of it all!

well asmond did state on his stream he literally bought BoEs and funnels to get to 226 on the first 2 weeks of SL so yeah

So what you’re saying is…

In the end, death claims us all…

Ehh Pro MMA fighter/basket ball player/ or any athlete will have the better gear than the average/casual person. Pro Basketball player’s shoes probably worth 50 times more than the casual’s basketball shoes.

wow seems to be only mmo having the top down issue lol
guild war pvp isnt based off gear for example :stuck_out_tongue:

What kinda stats do pro basketball players stack? I would assume haste/mastery?

Depends on what their coach/trainer suggests them, but yes they will minmax their training & gear as well.

What happens when the Monstars come and take their talent? It’s all back to square one, baby. No amount of 226 basketball gear gonna save you then.

Well that’s just incorrect :face_with_monocle:

Gear helps for sure, but skill is still a pretty big factor in PvP matches

Although having skill and gear just compounds and does allow you to handle unskilled and undergeared players much easier

If they weren’t better players then they wouldn’t have completed more difficult content to get the better gear.

WoW tried making it not based on gear in Legion (I think it was Legion at least) and PvPers lost their minds. WoW doesn’t have an issue. PvPers have an issue. They only want it “fair and balanced” when they are the weaker one, when they aren’t that ideal flies out of the window.

FF14 is the exact same thing as WoW.

And Guild Wars 2 has no end game, so it works for it. :stuck_out_tongue: Not that that game is doing amazing.

ff14 has easier access for casuals and less community gate keeping
its much easier to get into end game of ff14 than it is for wow

That isn’t the conversation. You spoke strictly of gear, which FF14 has the same gearing structure as WoW. As any RPG with scaling difficulty does. I very much notice a difference in my ability to play FF14 when I put on better gear, which translates to better performance.

I’ve gotten less lazier tho

gearin structure includes path to obtaining said gear

they go hand and hand

there is a clear and easy path in ff
wow you hit a giant wall and roll the die

I suppose, I wouldn’t know as FF14 really doesn’t have great instanced content so I haven’t been enjoying the game. So you have more knowledge to it.
