iLvL just as important in BG's as Arena?

I just got back into WoW after a long break from it. I just couldn’t take BFA in the beginning but after all the changes i’ve seen, it’s been fun casually going through Nazjatar and so forth.

I really came back to PvP. (I’m leveling a Rogue for DPS and a Monk for Heals) Right now, i’m only at iLvL 390 on my rogue and from what I was told, if I wanted to do arena PvP, I should be at least ilvl 430 with good azerite traits. Ive kinda hit a wall with getting geared quick because Im not a fan of mythics, and low ilvl raids are scarce. (As we speak, ive been in queue for Eternal Palace for 45 minutes and im the only person in queue) And ive grown tired of WQs.

Is ilvl just as important in BG’s or even RBG’s as well? I’d love to get into some PvP without feeling like i’m spending a ton of time getting PvE geared when PvP is my preferred way to play. If there’s no other way, i’ll have to explore other options lol…

Conquest cap for gear … at this point you can have 5 445 items and 1 440 weapon just by filling the bar.

If you can, do some wqs for 410+ gear.

Do the cloak quest, which gives you the 470 cloak.

Uldum is the first part and gives you 440 corruption bracers.

Next is vale which gives an automatic 430 azerite of your choosing.

Do world boss (not the old ones, the one in vale or uldum, will be in vale after today reset). Use a coin to bonus roll.

Mythics aren’t too bad, and honestly easier / quicker than raids.

A +2 to +7 or so with a decent team is easy.

If you go combat/outlaw people love it.

Outside of that, wintergrasp, av, and ashran give 150 conquest for a win (not after).

So even specific queueing for those after winning first epic for 60 cq is good.

Do ctas (call to arms) too. They give those quests in Mugambala at the pvp dude’s.

The older ones are tougher, just due to less people, but the naz one and the new zone ones are easy.

Just queue up in LFG for people doing it (non-raid) and it’s pretty quick.

Also, do the assaults for the conquest. Can get 60 (I think) doing all 5 quests. The end is worthless because it’s a 370, though you get ap for turning it in.

Look for war chests too. Gives 425 blue pieces and conquest + azerite.

Honestly if you do that, even without m+ you could get 430+

Emissaries drop increasing ilvl as you increase.

So if you have them and are getting increases, hold turning them in until you’re done for higher ilvl.

I got my spriest to ~435 in maybe 10 hours max. Which also includes a whole waste of time transmogging

You get 65 for first victory Of day and 15 for all subsequent wins that day.

Specific queuing gives zero CQ.

Yea.

I just did them on this character and my spriest last week.

I got the wintergrasp one on random queue which gave me… 215 total, then specific queued av and got the other 150.

I have the ashran quest still; the game I won was destroying the other team via reinforcements so we didn’t kill the boss.

I used bane of havoc in ashran and it was hysterical watching so many bolts fly.
