Ilvl 181 and still weaker than my 90 lol

Got up to 181 yesterday.
Two resto druids.
Main is 60/181
The alt is 55/90 still
Literally STILL having the same problems at 181 as I was at 160 and 170, lol.
I can mop the floor with world trash with the 55/90 alt…but still with the 60 Im having to keep every stinking HoT I have burning on overdrive or I end up red screening and having to abort, lol

Im sorry. We can make up all the joke excuses we want to for this crap, but a 55/90 is both less skilled and undergeared compared to a 60/181 and OUGHT to be having a HARDER time of it than the higher level /ilvl character.

and they are EXACTLY the same with keybinds and I play them exactly the same…obviously

I’m 185 and I’m having 0 issues w/ mobs unless they are the Elite ones.

Even the pvp guards hit like wet noodles.

yeah…I always check the health and crap before I charge in just to make sure all things are equal to get a good comparison.
But this is literally running the same quests fighting the exact same stuff.
some claim they arent seeing it, but enough have been complaining about it for longer than I have. Threads about it in here before I posted about it before.

Just very irritating to see that this didnt get fixed after being so obvious in BFA.

actually the bigger question is are you running TWO characters of the exact set up and spec to compare with?
Thats the main reason I noticed it was as bad as it is.

No. I only have time to maintain 1 character at this point. It could be that since I PVP I’ve prioritized my stat weights so I’m running at like 22% vers w/o food.

I will say that my 136 Outlaw rogue feels hella weak fighting more than 2 mobs.

honestly, it felt odd not feeling ‘stronger’ for like 20 or more ilvls. Just weird.
I decided to pull in another resto druid and run some of it again. Being able to compare the two doing the same content seriously makes it stand out just how horrible my 181 is.
It might be the spec or something, but Ive been running resto for a while now so ive got it figured out enough that I shouldnt be red lining with two or three world trash.
it almost feels buggy at times too. Like I’ll fight one thing and it seem about what youd expect…then the next fight can be something pretty comparable to the last one but my health bar is dropping like a rock even though I always fire off my Hots at the start of the fight unless Ive stealthed in on a sole target and stunned it for a few seconds and can usually finish it off before its fighting back.

If they get the chance to fight back my health bar gets ravaged pretty quick even with my HoTs burning full tilt.

I dont know…I can play the game, but its disheartening to be repeating BFA where I dont feel like Im progressing literally at all.

Are your stats all over the place? I know when I first started out and my stats were wack a wet fart would’ve killed me.

I know a lot of people will prioritize ilvl over stat weights, but getting your stats in check helps a ton. I’ve forgone 207 ilvl pieces over my 200ilvl pieces because the 207’s had garbage stats for PVE and PVP.

Im wondering about that, but they dont seem to be too extreme anywhere

Crit Stke - 15.40%
Haste - 14.73%
Vers - 5.18% / 2.59%
mastery - 7.77% (I always over do it with this one but honestly my drops havent exactly been helping getting it higher. Been getting screwed regularly with gear for Mastery, lol)

What Im loving is the responses I got in the other thread that pretty much say its in my head lol. While others are saying they see the same thing.
Its like, just dont bother responding if youre here just to say ‘nuh uh’ lol. Not helpful in the least.

Im losing hope on a fix given that it was the same kind of thing in BFA.
I took like a dozen alts into BFA and l ended up locking them at 115 and below once I realized what was going on. I still have some of them locked. lo

Yeah your Mastery is really low. For Resto Druids your mastery is for every HoT you have up your healing is increased.

For PVE your stats should be:

Intellect (Don’t have to worry too much about this as most gear of the same ilvl will have the same amount of intellect)
Mastery (This increases your healing done for every HoT you have rolling).
Haste (Lower GCD and more ticks on your DoTs and HoTs).
Crit (Increases crit chance of spells).
Vers (Flat healing/dmg increase and damage take decrease by half. So if you have 10% Vers you’ll be taking 5% reduced damage).

If you’re interested in Mythics since you’re at 181 and M0 gear is at 184 you can start prioritizing your stats over ilvl upgrades.

IKR, I felt infinitely stronger at lvl 51, than I am now at 60.

Each level felt like it was taking away some of my power.

I went from pulling 10-15 mobs at a time to AoE them, to having to pull 1 at a time, because 2 or 3 could kill me.

just irritating how the drops have been so far. ive had to toss a majority of them even if they were higher ilvl because the stats were horrible. Like literally huge minus to my intellect for god sake, lol.
I have my loot set for resto, so I have no clue what else can be done to get RELEVANT gear drops lol.

Resto really isn’t the spec to use for world content tho, it doesn’t do a ton of damage

I’m 193 in my holy gear, and while I don’t have any threat if dying, I can’t kill things very fast at all without wings

pretty much the same. I was even bragging in here weeks ago about how I could withstand anything. Now running the EXACT same stuff every week Im feeling no more powerful and even much weaker.

Not sure what blizzard is missing about higher level and ilvl should never equal weaker unless my stats were all seriously stupid bad.
but on that point, THEY decide what drops I get, not me. I cant stay at ilvl 88 forever tossing every drop thats higher otherwise the game apparently wont start giving me higher ilvl drops at all. Its like Im being forced to take sub par trash if I want to ‘progress’.

Oh, Im fine with that. I love the feel of resto…and being able to keep other players alive against bigger elites and crap. I dont mind taking longer to fight the fight since stealth allows me to bypass 99% of everything anyway.

Just disheartening to take that lowbie in and have it slaughter everything in its path while all my hard work on my main seems to be for nothing.

God i wish theyd fix this gear progression crap.
I dont want god gear. I just want slow, steady PROGRESSION, lol.
Its like that concept just blows right over Ions head.
