LFD isn’t a server health fix, and as much as I’d like to sh1tpost about Blizzard the player base is the cause of server health problems.
People gravitate to high pop servers, Blizzard could offer free 6 months subs for alliance to go to horde dominated imbalance servers or low pop servers and people wouldn’t budge.
You have to pay to move to a populated server and risk having loggin wait times, yet still people flock to the mega servers.
Where is the fix? It’s in our hands.
Similarly every post I’ve seen on LFD problems/complaints is 100% player controlled. If you don’t like it don’t use it. Have an active guild that aren’t all raid logged…dont use it.
Mega Servers is an abuse of the system they allowed happen for server profit/not caring.
Just because they can do it doesn’t mean they should. That’s why there are rules and restrictions, to keep a balance. Someone has to do it, and they failed.
There has never been a time a tank doesn’t have a raid spot or a dungeon spot. There is always a need for tanks, I’ve been playing only a bear tank since day 1 classic on Grob. I get instant ques for everything and in Wrath we have dual spec so I have options to Dps or even heal.
You don’t understand. TBC started with a 1:5 tank to group ratio with dungeons and kara. I leveled a tank and ahd no issue. This switches to 3:25 with Gruul, Mag, SSC and TK. Tanks all swap specs to get raid spots. Player base is left with a much smaller tank pool. You may have been a day 1 bear but I had to swap off of prot pally. I havent tanked a dungeon since. As a ret pally in OG wrath I would swap to tank all the time to do LFD. Dual spec helps but mostly only hybrid classes, but LFD automates finding the tank pool. I dont understand why people think that is bad.
How does it kill the social aspects of the game? you still have to message people and use /who to help fill out the rest of the group. It just makes it easier to sort thru LFG chat. cmon brother
did it ensure that in vanilla or tbc either original or classic?
no
Because you can just invite them since most of them post their role/spec and you can see their class.
Or do you really count “Need a DPS?” as social interaction?
TBC and Wrath being to easy to raid log seems to be one of its great qualities not a negative.
dead with only raiders logging in one a week to raid.
Agreed. People who say they can’t get groups are lazy. They don’t post in multiple channels, they don’t use /who, they don’t make friends outside their guild. They don’t add the good random players who were in their dungeon group. If people are on dead servers it’s different, but this is a problem that needs solving with server merges, not ruining the game with LFD.
Guess a lot of players don’t really want to play the older game then if that’s what it turns into.
