Spamming “DPS LFG” will rarely ever net you in.

You gotta stop being lazy and do “Looking for More”

You have to create the group.

You know, put in effort. Ask your friends. Your guildies.

…Ask in other channels.

I hear people whine about taking hours to get into a dungeon. If you actually put effort- (I am speaking to populated and healthy servers, not the near dead ones Blizzard greeded into a wasteland), you will have a group made in a fraction of the time.

‘lfm dungeon’ will get no traction. You must take the time to make it clear what the group needs.

“LF2M for Ramparts N - Need Tank and DPS.”

Clean, precise. Whispers come in.

Want to be seen? Use raid markers in chat. You can do this by typing {skull} and it will come up as a :skull: , making your message stick out! :tada:

Skull, Cross, Square, Triangle, Circle, Diamond, Moon, Star all work.

That being said, I do have mixed feelings on no LFD. Sure, it wasn’t in Wrath release, and sure, it did ruin the community feel, and pull away from warm bodies out in the world.

They should have just left it server only, and link the low pop servers. :woman_shrugging:

If anything they need to update that archaic Looking For Group Tool. Give it an interface we actually want to use. :upside_down_face:

The best way to get groups is to find a guild or play a valued role. You have to promote yourself.

classic wrath will be another dead raid log game like classic wow and classic tbc is with out lfd.

I filter out all of the Raid Icons because Gold sellers use them. So think twices before adding them to your LFG.

I was actually doing it your way throughout classic and BC at launch until everyone bailed for the megaservers.

That’s a you thing.

So far its brought me success to forming groups.

I just report Gold Farmer ads.

At this point that isn’t a method problem.

That is a Blizzard failing your server problem.

I feel for Deviate Delight and the devs need to pony up and fix server health.

It didn’t ruin any community feeling. This is a made up scenario.

This is a great way to get yourself on plenty of people’s ignore list.

Deflecting doesn’t get you anywhere. Many people can pull up when some random pulled a boss, wiped, and left. Some random rolled Need on something to troll. Or a group of 3 took the dungeon hostage because they could vote kick you.

I lose absolutely nothing by not grouping with people like you :wink:

Why are you in the LFG channel if you are bothered by people LFG?

This can happen regardless of how the dungeon was put together.

Classic as a whole would have much to gain losing players like yourself.

Please stop rolling DPS, there are enough of those already. Need about 30% of the population to swap to tank and heals. LFD removal will ensure that.

The difference is between Random Server and everyone on the same server.

You be a jackwad on your server? The people are gonna spread the news.

You don’t get invited. You can’t just fade off into the sunset after being a jerk.

Now, while I do encourage people to create their own groups as it is faster, I also am nudging for a Server Only LFD.

Best be prepared for both scenarios.

This only works if you have the Tank and/or Healer already. Otherwise you’re “LF1M need Tank” for an hour+, while you likely gain and lose some DPS along the way.

So Tank and Healer, which the vast majority of players don’t play and the game doesn’t need.

“Just use an addon to do what Blizzard said killed the social interaction of the game!”

No one is going to roll a Tank or Healer just to accommodate DPS in 5mans and then not have a raid slot. 25m raids need 3 Tanks at most and you want a bunch of people to roll a Tank to match the 3-1-1 ratio of a 5man?

LFD removal will ensure that people wait even longer for dungeons in Wrath than anyone ever remembers having to do because there will be no incentive to run them at all.

Assuming we even get this…

I loved dual spec. There’s no reason to remove it as it keeps people filling other roles (and a reason to gear it up).
