What’s mastery got to do with cast time?

That was directed at abomb talking only about haste and skipping how good mastery is for destro.

I quoted his statement and was just pointing that there are other important secondaries for destro.

Crit is still important for a lot of specs I don’t understand why you’re bringing up interactions.

I was literally just responding to your comment on soft caps (which is all I quoted).

There’s no soft caps anymore. MoP was the last expansion to have them (iirc).

And even all this just stemmed from a side comment I made saying how legion templates removed agency for players to choose secondaries (and just put soft caps as a thought - again thinking about hpal and infusion procs).

All of which stemmed from me simply complaining about the non explained backend damage scaling.

They also do more damage to someone than what that person sees.

That’s the problem though. No one knows how much the difference is or why.

I should be able to know that x ilvl increases/decreases damage by %

Just like one should be able to calculate secondaries to soft caps.

That gives players agency to gear and choose towards something.

Randomly changing numbers because who knows isn’t fun, and it’s not a good design to play in.

And all that was just me saying that I think players having agency with what actually happens is more fun than not.

(and thank you for pointing out that there aren’t soft caps anymore)
