If I used blizzards business model right now, there is no doubt in my mind Id lose every single customer I have except MAYBE the most desperate who like the fact that I can destroy the prices of big corporations because I dont have all the overhead they do.
They wouldnt stay because they liked the quality of my serviceā¦theyād stay because they had no choice.
Thats no way to run a business. But bliz isnt alone in this practice. The company the wife worked for for 13 years or so pretty much does exactly what blizzard does. They bleed their regular customers dry, those who are dedicated enough to put up with itā¦but the quality of the product isnt any better than walmart who charges half the price, sometimes even less, for the same exact items.
They get away with it because they have dedicated whales too.
And againā¦eventually even the whales go extinct.
