IGN ranks FF XIV #1 WoW #2

Yup they did, and this is equally as thrilling and exciting news :sleeping::sleeping:

I started playing ff14 against my own contempt for weeb aesthetic (i despise weeb stuff i dont watch anime) but honestly its a pretty good game, I’m a level 60 Bard atm and never did I think i’d spend this much time playing it.

The MMO genre does in general, there isn’t anything another MMO can offer it’s competition and vice versa, it’s a dying breed.

ALL of them need some serious improvements and new ideas that span higher than time played metrics and esports.

Absolutely.

More content is the secret sauce to success for a MMORPG.

If you dive into the professions that FF has to offer that is a real treat.

I’ve read into it seems very intricate. Its almost like a whole class which is crazy to me

thats what drought contents do to an mmo

I’ll give FF credit there. The crafting is the most fun I’ve had in an mmo. Its the rest of the game I don’t vibe with especially the combat

You and I both know its a timeline of how bad BFA was, then them not listening to us about covenants or torghast, then this content drought, then this disrespectful move with the legendary recrafting and adding new systems when they swore they wouldn’t,

its all FF related, its mostly everyone wanted to rub Blizzard’s face that WoW got dethrone.

Be prepared for your post to be moved to the Off Topic forums. The mods appear to be over having stuff on other games posted here. :sunglasses:

You are going to have fun with professions in FF.

I do not mind the combat because you are still thinking about putting together CDs like WoW. The slowed down pace is nice to see.

Can’t spell ignorant without IGN.

IGN is a joke, not speaking on this particular point, but they’ve done reviews multiple times without even fully playing the game.

In their RE2 Remake review they played the A version twice, instead of playing A and B because apparently they can’t read.

Random article outta nowhere for some reason even though as a whole the MMO genre is being far outshadowed by others. Top-mmo site marking them as #1 with 4 million more players than they’re last announced accounts list around two months previous. A bunch of streamers randomly all saying “screw WoW, let’s go to FFXIV!!”

…for an 8 year old game that they’ve all mostly ignored before. That happens to be releasing an expansion soon?

Yeeeeeaaaaaah, this is looking more and more and more like guerilla marketing to me. But I could be wrong. But c’mon, all this happening out of nowhere at the same time just really comes off suspicious to me to believe it just all happens to be organic. Don’t get me wrong, I’d think it’s rather clever if true and applaud it.

They have a trial, go give it a whirl and see if you enjoy it. Wasn’t for me, but we all have different tastes.

IDK if I would trust IGN so much… but with all the controversy at Blizzard and trouble WoW has, and the HUGE content draught… it is what it is.
I agree that FF>WoW right now.
I don’t agree that #3 is PSO…

To be fair PC gamer ranked FF higher too, and they are both relevant and trustworthy IMO.

Tell IGN if they want me to consume some of their content to make an article and not a video

I think the WoW team has given up on the game. They seem to do everything horribly wrong to the point of making it an art form.

Sadly they do not understand how to fix WoW.
