Don’t know how much credibility IGN even has atm (if it ever had any at all).
Either way I still have fun playing WoW and despite taking breaks every now and again, I probably won’t stop.

Thank god. WoW team also sent Yoshi and the FF team a congratulations letter, there’s a picture of it going around. I hope the #2 takes the pressure off the WoW team and they have more freedom to make the game better without constantly being compared to other MMO’s and needing to live up to godly expectations. Let everyone flock to FF and let WoW players enjoy the new game and content without being berated by a mob demanding it be perfection incarnate.

They’re a relic from back when people actually used video game review and guide sites.
Not really that relevant anymore and their reviews mostly sound like they were written by people who have little to no understanding of the modern video game world in this day and age.
That doesn’t mean that FFXIV isn’t above WoW in the rankings now though, but IGN just isn’t a credible place to espouse that.
WoW can easily become the king again. People want it to be.
Congratulations to them though. Amazing game. Loving every minute I’m playing it.

It’s become very clear over the last few years that a bunch of people are playing WoW who really never should have been. And if they can move to another game, good.

not saying FF isn’t doing better than WoW. But that IGN listicle lists some real questionable picks for top 10.
Sure IGN is no gamepro in its heyday, but compared to the rest IGN is the best of the best left standing.

I don’t think the sky is falling, but it’s pretty obvious that WOW has some issues. They need to spend less time on temp systems and more time on raids, dungeons and open world content.
I DL’d ffxiv the other day. Excellent free trial that lets me experience the game to a good degree without anymore commitment than the DL. Looking forward to playing when I can. So far it’s an okay game.
