If you’re choosing between Priest & Druid, using your own criteria, which would you choose and why?
I mean I’ve mained priest for 20 years so I’m biased.
But there’s just way too many factors. If you’re planning to focus mostly or entirely on one character, a class that can do it all like druid is a good choice.

atm ive been considering between shadow priest ret pally evoker and feral druid and based on the feedback of the forums for beta and your choice between priest and druid i would go priest 100%. i love druid and ive been playing 1 since vanilla but i cant go into a xpac with a main that while i love will 100% be a burden on my friends i run keys with and my guild i raid with. i would rather play something else than be fustrated at how bad it feels how bad my damage is and how i feel like a carry when im not bad. also shadow priest is probably my favorite caster and i think this is the first xpac there not getting a full overhaul rework done to them since i think it was legion probably earlier though
I’ve always wanted to like druid more, but it’s just never really clicked for me. I think it’s the form dancing dependency to use any of your off-role abilities.

Oh easily priest.
Druids are extremely limited in race choices and you dont even play as your race the vast majority of the time.
The visuals of my character are super important so druid will never be anything more than alt material to me.

My criteria is who can carry my gnome the most and the druid can turn into a mount. The priest will probably try to tell my gnome to levitate, because they know what spells she has, no way priest. The boyfriend needs to physically lift Rita off the ground and into the angel sky where she belongs.

Priest is that classic back line healer fantasy and it’s nice.
Druid you get to be an animal.
Priest wins on mostly gameplay reasoning of holy just feels better to play than resto, cat and bear just feel like worse rogue/bear. :C but I still love them

Priest for sure.
Shadow is hands down one of the coolest specs in the game. The sound effects are phenomenal. Compare it to Druid’s paper shredding sounds and it’s not even a competition.
Visually it’s a tie with Priest winning out. Druid is dependent on spec for the character model and that’s a bit of an annoyance unless you get the barber stuff.
Spec flexibility leans towards Druid, but right now, Druid talents are a mess. Their interrupt is so deep in their standard tree that resto has to give it up completely. Nevermind that their class tree has a crazy amount of talents to begin, all of which are clearly centered around certain specs. Why punish Druids for having so much flexibility?
Style wise Priest win. Priest gear is some of the coolest in the game.
On the gameplay side, Priests win. Shadow is a mess but it feels better than most of what Druid has. Holy is an amazing healer. Disc is kind of boring but less maintenance than kitty weaving as Resto Druid.
So yeah, Priest.

Druid. Way more versatile in gameplay options. Only class that has 4 specs, shapeshifting, etc.
Priest healing is really fun too though.

stealth. flight form. kitty form. Tank spec for soloing anything actually solo without hoping someone happens along to help.
Im sure I can think of something else if I strain my brain lol

I like both, but if I could ONLY play one of them… Druid:
- Zandalari dino forms are dope
- Has a spec for all four roles - Tank, Healer, melee DPS, ranged DPS
