Buying and sell items on the AH hurts the economy as well, but you guys aren’t crying about that.
You shouldn’t even have the opportunity to have such an advantage over people if you swipe.

You realize that people have alts and make gold with those alts to gear their mains in a GDKP right?
What does that have to do with GDKPs opening up the opportunity to have a massive advantage over others through cheating that otherwise wouldn’t be there?

But rather than trying to track it yourself, manually, in text files, spreadsheets, or things you then have to share online…the game tracks it.
Every time you kill a boss you get some “DKP” currency (a soulbound, non-tradeable, ethereal, number).
And when it comes time to roll on items, you can bid that currency. Higest bid wins, and they not longer have that amount of currency.
- you can’t trade it
- others can’t get it from you
- it’s only in-game/in-universe, so you can’t buy or sell it
If optional, why would a new player opt into waiting multiple lockouts with the same group before getting a real chance at loot? Why would pugs use this system at all?
I wouldn’t even entertain the thought that it would be made mandatory.
The AH opens up opportunity do you want that banned as well?
BoE items where designed to be bought and sold… BoP items where not…
As for the economy, the AH is literally designed to be a gold generating option for players as a profession exchange…
Raids where not. The very fact that the best gold per hour “profession” in the game was ignoring professions entirely and carrying whales in GDKP demonstrates a pretty massive problem in the game itself.
Nah the AH is gonna be fine. All these whataboutisms are so tiring.

I wasn’t meaning that I think it’s all RMT gold. I know lots of legit players with loads of gold. I just don’t have the time to be one of them.

Nope, they said that I can’t exchange items for gold, not that I cannot be paid to attend raids and carry them.

The ability to play the game and raid with others is already established. Set up your own raids and hard reserve your own gear. Problem solved
no we understand that some people raid GDKPS 6 times a week fine, its just not really a thing we care about not being viable anymore. “oh woe is me, i cannot run 6 toons to leech payouts from GDKPS anymore” is not an argument thats about to move anyone lol.
if you allow gdkp it will become the primary (and basically only) way to make gold efficiently or gear an alt because its so much faster than farming due to all the botted/rmt’d gold, and if it exists openly it basically kills every other type of pug. it will take over the servers the same way it has era/wrath if left unchecked, and blizz has (thank god) decided its is a problem.
your excuses as to why its really a good thing are transparent and obvious cope because you want to keep leeching off the whales or you want to be able to RMT your way to gear, cry more loser.
