Yea, some people are insufferable and will instantly quit with a simple breeze. But if you are one of these people claiming 90% of your runs fail due to someone quitting it’s time to look at the common factor.
I rarely have anyone leaving, it does happen. But tonight I left two in a row. First was VP tank kept wandering out of tjr boss area that damage isn’t healable, so I told him 3 times. After the fourth wipe I was done.
Next was Nelth Lair and people absolutely refused to interrupt, healer got through some of it but eventually the damage and stuns were too much. I check details and literally saw one, 1, interior other than myself from the Rogue, Mage and Paladin dps combined. That was enough for the run and of course after I left I got whispered telling me what a quitter I was.
I see you attempted to be clever and quote me excluding a significant portion of my original post.
You seem to try to imply I contradicted myself by saying I rarely leave but tonight I left two in a row, I get it. But going 213 runs without ever leaving and then leaving twice in one night does not prove the point you think it does.
This is what 91% Mythic+ Pug Disband rate looks like - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KtRfkRpdk8
Sometimes it’s not your fault, you have a high chance doing pugs where someone else is going to be that guy. Just because you pug a lot and leave a lot, does not mean it’s your fault.
No one should be forced to stay in a key if other players are being that guy, no one here is paying you to carry, no one should carry if they don’t feel like it. I’ve had runs where 2 minutes in I have left after seeing how bad players are.
Had a run in HoI where before we even got to the first boss the DPS were getting hit by everything avoidable, using no interrupts, no CC, no defenses and a dozen deaths. Before the run started the healer was like “We won’t die”, before the first boss the healer was like “We got this bro, we can still time it”.
I just left, I wasn’t going to carry 3 DPS who were hitting like wet socks and being perpetually dead. Am I the bad guy? Do I need to look in the mirror and think “I need go get better at this game so I can carry harder?” No, no I don’t.
If any of these are true I leave and just queue for another. No point in even going to the forums where you’re met with the same jerks that waste your time with moronic replies lol.
#1. Tank refuses to ever stand still and zig zags instead of a predictable train making it near impossible to melee aoe, usually a pvp type that thinks pve is more exciting when jumping around like a clown.
#2. Tank over pulls more than once, causes needless deaths and needless stress on everyone. Usually a pally or blood dk.
#3. No interruption being done, everyone tunnels.
#4. That one DPS is dead every other pack and every boss.
#5. Healer refuses to do affix.
#6. Everyone dies on boss cept tank, tank proceeds to waste 8 min soloing the boss instead of wiping it up. Almost always a blood DK.
This is why its important to rush in the beginning of the season. You see NONE of this with good players that ALL rush in the beginning and have everything 16 and up week 2.
Even the wyrm farm 11-15 2nd week was a breeze compared to the clown show mid season.
So OP, don’t sweat it. Just leave and find the next run.
If anyone direct messages you, add them to ignore.
There… really isn’t much to interrupt in Lair. Stuns, sure, but interrupts are always going to be few and far between there. And stuns generally don’t show as interrupts.
If you’re blaming your interrupt counter on a Neth’s Lair failure… well, you might be the bad.
Why are people making these threads always like Keystone explorer level. You are doing keys with people who don’t how to play because they don’t need to and they literally never needed to. If you’re doing a 13, don’t be surprised pikachu face when the people in there play like they’re people who do 13s.
But feel like a diva I guess and celebrate everybody losing.
VP is non-existent to me like I am totally uninterested in even looking at it in a m+ setting, so if I get it then I consider my keystone depleted in the 7.0&7.1 legion way and join for other, less keys to fix it, so I cant comment on it.
But regarding NL, what is there to interrupt? There are so few spells you can interrupt there, its not exactly a shrine of storm. Most mobs spam exactly 1 ability. It was like this in legion too, about on pair with assault on violet hold’s theorical m+ experience except at least it did not actually have m+ mode.
Have you done it where you don’t overgear it? If you’re just the appropriate gear level then there are shapes that cast and mobs that bound, tank getting chain stunned is definitely a problem and that is certainly kickable
Ok so there is a slight difference between doing keys +21 and higher vs what nearly everyone else here on the forums experience.
The people typically complaining here on the forums are not doing keys at that level where if you dont time it…its useless.
I would expect a larger disband rate at that point because goals are different. And within context of the conversations/complaints on the forums, +21s (and higher) are irrelevant.
I was going to post something similar but I was thinking maybe I’m just misremembering or something.
The only interrupts in the whole dungeon are some of the guys stone bolt casts that do minimal damage right? And the last 2 packs before the final boss the guy (not the scorpion) has a cast.
Jagged disk and avalanche and stuff are all uninterruptible.
Yeah I’m confused.
OP is a key quitter and I guess came here to confess their sins?
Also “I rarely have people leave, it doesn’t happen that often”
Followed up by “So tonight I quit two keys”
lmao like how do you not realize the issue here? There are now 9 people out there who failed a key due to some cry baby quitter.
