As opposed attempting achievements in RDF runs???

Your argument makes absolute zero sense because random groups are not typically the main vessel for people hunting the dungeon achievements to begin with.

“I used manual group forming for an activity that generally specifically requires a manually formed group and therefore forming groups for dungeons for every other purpose is totally viable outside of RDF”

Give me a break…

Yes, my point is that if it viable for a specific kind of activity, it is doable outside. Hence if we implement the RDF, the choice will remain for all on how to do it the way they prefer.

Most groups are willing to try the achievements on the first attempts in LFD, whether they achieve it or not is a different story but LFD does not make achievement runs not viable.

I never cared about achievements but I remember doing them in rdf runs because either the tank and a couple of people in his guild announced it was happening or because people asked if they could. I was happy to help them even though achievements wasn’t my thing. Most people in most runs were ok with going for an achievement if someone wanted it.

I’ll take how to shoot my own argument in the foot for 100$

LoL claiming LFD kills manual group forming while also explaining why manual group forming has advantages over LFD.

I got a pretty good number of the achieves just asking in group if people were willing to give it a shot, cause LFD apparently kills all socialization in dungeons… and that worked for a lot of them. For some of the trickier ones I had to get premade groups cause once again, LFD apparently kills being able to preform groups…

But that’s…not what’s in contention.

Just because forming a group manually remains a function that is possible to be used, or that there are activities (pretty much nothing other than achievements) that benefit from a manually formed group, does not mean that manual group forming is not impacted by the addition of RDF.

talks about shooting self in foot while shooting self in foot

You can’t sit there and argue that dungeon achievements are totally common and very frequently done in RDF while at the same time saying that manual group forming retains the chief benefit of being there to do dungeons achievements.

You’re both saying that manual group forming is useful and useless at the same time, whichever suits your point in the moment.

Just like you did during the dual spec debate…respeccing was both easy or difficult depending on what better suited your current line of thought.

You can’t keep it straight man, you’re all over the place.

Almost at 1k posts in this thread!

If you don’t like it, don’t use it.

But…but nobody can use it…

This argument presumes that it’s already in the game…

Supposing Trans-Blizzard reverses course on removing LFD, or possibly substitutes the Retail version for LKClassic, try not to spontaneously combust, Zip.

If they don’t, you can post some kinda “HAHA I WAS RIGHT ABOUT BLIZZARD REMOVING LFD” thread in ~12 months and hive-five yourself.

If they add RDF back to WOTLKC it will literally not affect my inclination to play at all. I already believed it would be in WOTLKC and I was still going to play.

I’m not trying to fight for it’s removal (Blizzard did that all on their own), just validating the choice Blizzard made because I believe it’s a reasonable one.

You’ve done a terrible job at validating the decision, just a FYI

Not as terrible a job as you’ve done convincing Blizzard that they don’t need to remove it :face_with_monocle:

So far the pro lfders are changing the momentum of the decision, so you’re wrong again

Wrong is a pretty strong word given it was surgically removed and there’s no evidence to suggest it will be re-implemented.

Hit that copium hard till you can’t anymore though.
