Is that the overall mentality here on the forums now? That "if player “X” doesn’t agree with me, then player “X” opinions are incorrect, invalid, unjustified, and just plain 'ole ridiculous.

Another way to parse it is: “If I don’t agree with player “Y”, it’s because their opinions are incorrect, invalid, unjustified, and just plain 'ole ridiculous.”

Sadly, it sure seems that way in WoW forums.

Lot of people are wrong. Usually from a lack of understanding of what they are talking about. Saying you “dislike” something is pointless. You have to explain why

You also must pull the offending persons profile up and use ,”since you haven’t done xyz” you are not allowed to have an opinion at all.

There’s the arguers, then the discussers, the lurkers, ect. I think the arguers tend to think a subject revolves around only their pov. When in actuality the broader community opinion is probably quite varied on any given subject.

Opinions, by definition…are wrong. They are subjective personal beliefs and views, ones not grounded in external reality, they are, by definition, not objective fact.

Arguing opinions and politics is utter nonsense.

objective is just fact…so disagreeing with fact makes one wrong.

Subjective is just personal opinion based on preferences, etc…its not right or wrong…but some people pull that “personal truth” crap where SUBjective is concerned, pretending their POV is OBjective…and that is total horse feces nonsense

You also forgot other things that are not relevant to the discussion but some how people love to cling to them because they have zero ability to admit they are wrong, no actual data to back up their claims or 100% unhappy with their life choices they want to be a troll:

  1. You are on an alt
  2. You are on a classic or retail toon and this is retail or classic
  3. You have a private profile
  4. You have not played on that character in 2 years
  5. You are not at max level
  6. Any or all of the above.

I am sure I missed some.

That if they disagree with me that’s what is destroying MMOs, or that’s why people are unsubscribing, or that’s why no one is playing the aspect of the game I enjoy, or that some people seem to actually think walnuts in brownies is a good idea…
