i mean, i certainly believe that your main has friends.
sure, and not just with a content drought, every expac gets a bunch of people back who only level their toon to the new cap and then stop. but i mean long time players who play even in content droughts are not playing. and its not that they are not playing games, they are just not playing wow.
i dont think its systemlands, i think its the current pvp meta is not fun for most players. live fast die fast works in CoD because you have a quick respawn. in arena there is no respawn, and in bgs respawn is 30 seconds. the last thing people want is to sign up to play where a ret pally just destroys 90% of your HP in 1 hit and then kills you in the next.
IMO it seems like players are too drunk on the fun of 1 shotting others and forgetting that 1 shotting is a giant red flag that there is something wrong with the current pvp system. pvp has to be fair, every single sport and competition in the world has rules, even actual war. when a game isn’t fair, people dont play, that has been proven in science but it doesn’t take a genius to observe it.
You do realize if you use defensives properly and kite people, 1 shots don’t happen right? The opposite of this meta is 50 minute long dampening matches which no one wants, I think a lot more prefer this over that old system.
the longest matches i had in bfa in 2s were maybe 5 minutes. there is a balance to be found, and setting everyone to equal ilvl would be a good place to start. that doesn’t mean the gearing system needs to be trashed entirely, personally i like the idea of leaving gear as it is, but then in pvp scaling it all to the same ilvl. so you can earn ilvl in rated to stand around org and look cool, but have a fair experience in pvp so everyone knows that gear you are flexing is legit and not some Saturday night special.
Everyone complaining about the gearimg system are going to be the same ones complaining when gear doesn’t matter and they’re still getting stomped on because they’re just bad at PVP.
You claim to get 1800 with lfg. You claim people in game harass you (which is also hilarious because I’ve been on the forums a long time and never had a problem).

I’m fine with gearing the way it is. The only change I would make would be templatinv unrated content. It definitley is unfair to subject people who just want to hop on and run a few chill randoms a week to duelist premades.
It makes for terrible games win or lose. Steamrolling or getting steamrolled every game just isn’t that much fun for anyone.
Representation doesn’t mean it’s bad lol… What? Might have a higher skill cap and the ones who play it can’t meet that potential or people play less skill capped classes.
