lol
Nah, other people can express their discontent. I know this expansion is heavily favored towards your playstyle but blizzard shouldn’t be making content for only one segment of their audience.
Callings, which get you out into the world, give decent gold, which you can use to buy legendary upgrade pieces from AH.
Or to buy mats to lvl professions.
If you are casual and don’t want to do more challenging content like conquest pvp or raiding or mythic dungeons, then be content with a lower ilvl. Why do you need a high ilvl if you are not interested in the harder endgame? Be happy with running heroic dungeons in all your alts. The power progression system has not fundamentally changed since Vanilla. It was raid of die, then pvp 24/7 as alternate, but now their are many options. If you don’t like any of them, either be content with less ilvl or try another game.
Youve completely missed the point. Have another go. But since you ask: You do content because you want to progress your character. If the avenues to progression completely dry up by an arbitrary (community maintained wall - and that wall is being built as we speak, just so you understand), you stop paying your sub.
If that is your core guiding argument, you’re going to be so mad when blizzard swing the pendulum back in the next expansion. Remember when wod had 4 million subs and everyone freaked and gave us legion? And then legion gave some respite before invariably dropping. And then BFA dropped to 2 million and everyone was saying ‘holy wow! Is ff14 about to overtake wow with shadowbringers?’ and then classic came from nowhere to literally save wow…? And then shadowlands had the most sales (or whatever it was) for a week (before cyberpunk), and the game was saved… yeah? I would bet my account against yours, that without a course correction, shadowlands will do worse than bfa because the thing that pulled wod into the abyss is the same thing that will drag shadowlands under (theres NOTHING TO DO!!! (unless you raid - even the mythic plus champs are rioting! And that gave legion almost all the goodwill in the world). I wonder what will happen at atvi finance when it does?
Uhh, raids are still amazing. With four levels of challenge.
Dungeons are great with 20 levels of challenge.
PvP has vendors and an upgrade system. A recent patch tamed sub rogues a bit, now night far are an viable option for rogues.
Legendaries are targetable, thus more player agency.
Higher ilvl gear is actually an upgrade. The triple rng of Azerite is gone.
Thus SL is great and for most audiences of WoW.
lol and you can’t seem to see that is one type of player.
If you don’t like any of these aspects of WoW then this is not your game to have fun in. Go play something else and stop trying to change WoW into something it’s not.
I played for 10 years with no problems not concentrating on that content.
Sorry I would rather try to get the game changed back to being fun for me.
However, I did voice my discontent and didn’t buy Shadowlands because I wasn’t going to PAY for your content if they never gave me any.
The end of MoP had Nothing to Do! For 13 months while waiting for WoD? And the PvP community was great and busy. WoD really hurt pvp, many PvP you tubers changed or left.
But for 13 months, with no gear progression, I still played a main in RBGs BGs arenas for FUN. For titles. I leveled alts and progressed them and then had FUN. With out gear or power progression.
Why are you comparing the end of an expansion with the beginning of another. You have no idea what Shadowlands is going to be like over the next 2 years.
Basically agree. I feel like Blizzard and the development team have really delivered since 8.2. They listened when customers were upset with BFA’s launch problems, and have given us a good foundation for Shadowlands.
What is your content then? Pet battles? Archeology?
You want a quest chain to give you the highest ilvl gear in the game from doing WQs?
Nothing to do? What? There is so much to do I can barely keep track of it.
I was responding to someone else point. Read their points to understand my response…
I wish more people were like you. Then we could all happily engage with the content we like without reward. You should posit this on the forums: No loot from raids with this precise argument. Tell me how you get on
I hate max level questing so no I do not want a quest chain.
Most of my time during expansions over the last 10 plus years has been spent on two activites - world content and professions. Both of these are lacking in play value this expansion, although professions might have been okay if they had structured them a bit differently.
I see you, Brack.
When all of you “just quit” types get your wish, you’re going to realise just how much of the game was subsidised by non-elite, non-competitive, and non-brown-nosed players.
I really shouldn’t be surprised to find sky fairy nonsense at the end of such a spectacularly patronising post.
Shadowlands has taken a few good steps… and taken many bad steps.
To refuse to acknowledge this, and simply state that if someone complains the fault is with them, and that they should leave, would be the act of refusing to take in feedback from others.
Shadowlands is not nearly as great as you make it out to be, there are problems, problems that people have spoke on since early in the beta, that blizzard ignored.
Should chill on the demonization of people whom are not blindly satisfied with the game. If people really were done with the game, they would leave without word. The fact they do complain means that they actually care about the status of the game and would prefer to see the game be better, rather than worse.
Your dismissal of genuine feedback as people just needing to “Quit and go away” is short sighted and shallow.
I did content in PvP. Got full set of conquest gear and I was done with progression, in MoP. Then I played in MoP for FUN.
In SL, higher rating gives even better rewards. SL is even better! So celebrate with me about that.
Sky fairy? Really? Y’all are brutal. I wouldn’t walk around Ardenweald saying that sort of stuff.
