Ok, hopefully, the put a big note on the thing for some people that need it.
The big note comes in the form of actually showing you the piece that you’ll receive from the piece you put in. Obviously, the chest, helm, legs, shoulders, and gloves will show the set bonuses. The cloak, bracers, boots, and belt won’t.
It’s for all pieces to the outfit. Because it will change bracers with one set of stats into another set of stats that goes along with the set as a whole.
And it specifically shows you what it’s turned into.
I’ll post it again…
Go look in your adventure guide under loot. See everything you can get. See how it specifically shows you what adds set bonuses and what doesn’t.

Yeah, I mean I get that but they probably should add something like this slot will make a tier set piece and the rest will be making items for the transmog part of the set.
I guess it is up to them if they want to field more support tickets.
They did. It’s literally right there on the gear and in the blue post.
Exactly why there’s confusion. They’re calling all those items “tier” - so naturally people think they’ll count towards the set bonus.
Tier gear has ALWAYS counted towards the set bonus.

I am saying it won’t be clear enough for some players, because Blizzard is trying to accomplish two things.
Anyone who has ever experienced tier in the past would “know” that any actual “tier” piece counts towards the bonus. This will be the first time ever that tier pieces would not count towards the bonus.
My question is, WHERE are they calling those item tier(boots/bracer)? Is certainly not in game.
The players who have Ben targeting specific slots for weeks now for their set bonuses? The players who know that tier bonuses have been on those specific slots for over a decade? The players who read the blue post? Or the players that look at the piece of gear being created and see it does or doesn’t have a set bonus on it?
Because really this is getting ridiculous now.

So you only need 1 of the 5 pieces to give the bonus.
So you could have the chest piece and the boots, waist, and wrists "of the fixed stars for the druid set and still get the 4 piece bonus because you had at least 1 of the pieces that gave the bonus.
So, you really think there will be zero support tickets then?
I got people in my guild that delete their gear frequently and have to do item restores.

I don’t think they are that ignorant. I think they’re just trolling.
Arguing that the system is clear as day in a thread with a lot of confusion seems like the definition of trolling to me.

i have ben planning and capping conquest points so i can buy the pvp unranked gear and turn it in to a tier set.
ill have a full tier set in 4-5 weeks using unranked conquest gear.

To me that reads like it’ll function like domination gear where only 2 pieces of all domination gear actually gave the bonus, but all pieces would count towards getting the bonus.
I mean they could simply put text like:
This item will result in tier set bonuses.
Or
This item will not result in tier set bonuses.
But they’re adding in the other slots to the “of the Empyrean” tier set. Those would make sense to work with the bonus.
Apparently they’re new items all together, not items that currently exist.
