Yes on small servers pissing of 30-40 people might be an issue, it’s neglible on bigger servers however.
And like it or not the honor system is exclusive not inclusive so by it’s very nature most people don’t care about rankers.
I think it depends, theres competition and then theres just straight lying to get an edge.
People who go out of their way to be sneaky about it are definitely jerks.
As a group sure, but as individuals, they very much do.

Don’t know on your server but in Herod, the PvP community is also backed by the top PvE guilds of the server (due to PvP gears are very good for raiding on certain classes like warriors).

Well yes. If someone agrees to a bracket, then breaks it behind everyone’s back, then yes, they are a jerk for lying.

Here’s some news for you:
Everyone hates the PVP mafia… On every server.
Every player trying to rank and get out, everyone trying to have a group of friends is forced into this “system” that no one asked for. The thousands of other people on the server hate all of these people are the top, they’re a nuisance and violating ToS.

Charging real life money to boost someone to r14, it’s happening all over the place, my server can’t be the only one. Blizzard needs to step in and stop this.

Yep, this is also happening. I’ve even see messages in the discord telling people to STOP harassing that player because “they didn’t know and they have been spoken to”, which is ridiculous.
If someone did it on purpose? Well you might as well find a new server. This needs Blizzard’s attention.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I don’t support harassment.
It’s definitely not happening on my server and very much has nothing to do with most bracket systems. It goes against the core of most of them even. That sounds more like the ‘competition’ people always talk about when they speak about brackets.
It’s LITERALLY posted in the bracket stack discord right out in the open. How about you stop arguing based on no facts. I’m literally staring at it right now.

Tribalism at it’s finest
A server organizing brackets is the best way to ensure more players achieve their rank goal in a reasonable time frame. Following the order actually helps everyone in the long run… unless you like being stuck at R11-R13 indefinitely while wasting 50+ hours a week on PVP.
