Please understand the mods hands are tied.
There is a way to free them, though. Hit the “unsubscribe” button and list in the reasons that you’ll be playing another game, and in comments write something like “pvp queues too long” or “same-faction bg gone”.
Their database algorithm aggregates this data to show them market trends.
If enough people cancel in this fashion, it will spur the bean counters to tell the execs what is going on, which will give the mods and devs power to do stuff.
You can always resub if they implement good change, but the wallet shock value is one of the strongest tools we have.
I don’t know why horde are crying so hard on this, you know you’re Blizzard’s favorite faction, they’ll reinstate HvH again. You don’t have threaten to leave Blizzard, they love you, even when you make mistakes like picking a face roll faction that’s knowingly overpopulated.
I picked alliance for fast queues. Just like many have done since this game became faction skewed population wise over a decade ago.
“Oh no we wanted the everything advantage. We want higher population cause we don’t want to compete for world bosses. We want world pvp bonuses. We don’t want to wait to summon groups. We want less competition for crafting resources. What? That means longer pvp queues? UNSUBSCRIBE GUYS! THIS IS UNFAIR!!!”
Overall population does not dictate pvp population. If one faction had a million members, and 50% of them pvp’d, and the other faction had 500,000 members, and 100% of them pvp’d, then there would be no queue issue.
The issue instead lies in the fact that Alliance don’t pvp at all. It’s less than a 10% differential across all US servers for population.
Horde suffer because Alliance refuse to play the game.
“Muh pve faction” and Alliance gets rolled there as well.
Shoo with your victim complex that’s enabling you to believe that gatekeeping real people from the casual aspect of a video game is a logical idea.
By all means, please attack me instead of my idea. You voted with your wallet for your beliefs, and I am proud of you. I did too. This makes us brothers.
Hasn’t happened in this thread yet but I always find it funny when someone is like “I cancelled! My sub ends 6 months!” because they ordered an annual sub or some long-term subscription lmao.
Like dude what is even the point of adding your voice to a thread of people voicing discontent when you are still effectively playing for the next 6 months because you technically already paid anyway.
I’m using easy numbers for you to digest. If you can’t understand that, then I’m sorry you failed the most basic concepts of math. I never once said those were real numbers. I’m utilizing them to demonstrate how overall population does not dictate pvp population.
Overall population is not pvp population.
Whether Horde and Alliance was 50/50 or 80/20 is irrlevenant when talking about a sub group, as the one with a majority could easily just not part take in said sub group, while the minority could be obsessed with it.
We have a 46%/54% balance for Alliance to Horde on US servers.
Yet Alliance have instant queues and Horde have long queues, entirely based on the fact that the Alliance does not make up any where near the numbers that Horde do when it comes to pvp.
Whether it’s players who want to hide behind their failures of the game solely on racials, or it’s a player perceived imbalance of power, or whatever, the core issue remains that Alliance does not queue for pvp while Horde does, and thus, Horde have to wait to pvp in battlegrounds, while the few that do battlegrounds on the Alliance side do not have to wait.
If you can’t understand this, then go sit in a corner while the adults talk.
My server is alliance dominated and queues are still hella long. Alliance just wont fight unless they outnumber or outlvl you, which they can’t count on in BGs.
Annnd you keep comparing servers and yet if you even bothered to queue you’d see the BGs are cross-realm. So you’d have to consider the overall numbers for each battlegroup and not just a select server that serves your purpose.
You say you’re using easy numbers but I don’t think you even know what you’re trying to say yourself.
Alliance players don’t need to pay for your selection. If you want to give alliance players free world boss loot, safety in summoning party members, access to more world resources and pvp objective bonuses, then yes by all means you can then enjoy our queue times.
