For real. I do think the people in this forum who are for a server where we can gather should submit a suggestion if they have time.

If wpvp was truly enjoyed, people would actively engage in it. They don’t because it was never really that popular.

Folks have been crying that world PvP has been under attack since flight was added in TBC, and based on what’s going on in SoD, they aren’t wrong about that.

Please use your brain. The coding was never changed for classic, which is the basis for SOD. Therefore warmode would have to be programmed into an old version of the game again in order to exist. You did not get pvp servers again because they are popular, wanted, needed, or even remotely sustainable… you got them only because the coding didnt exist to do it the other way. And because an extremely vocal subset of the community, obviously including yourself, would lose their minds without low level people to gank.
Here is the biggest point you don’t seem to understand. War mode was made because pvp and pvp servers were not popular enough to sustain themselves on its own. End of story. If what you say is true, we’d still have pvp servers. This idea you’re pushing that pvp servers were “fine” and war mode was some failed expirement that magically replaced pvp servers out of nowhere is some serious copium. Pvp servers were so low pop, toxic, unbalanced and unsustainable that war mode was the proposed solution.
In other words, you and yours literally had what you wanted, but it wasn’t popular enough to spend resources on, so you got canceled. Live with it.
If wpvp was actually not popular like you claim, we wouldn’t even have war mode. Which doesn’t work.

it does work and it was the compromise
In BFA Blizzard tried to bribe people into WM by offering heroic raid level gear. Nobody cared. If wpvp was so popular you’d have your dedicated pvp server. You don’t. If wpvp was so popular WM would be filled to capacity with everybody wanting to participate. It’s not. How in the world can you claim wpvp is popular?

Removing all that stuff would piss off people (you) so they can’t undo it, even if they wish they could.
Hence why SoD exists, to appease us PvPers.
The whole focus aside from runes is World PvP, STV is next.
People who hate or dislike PvP need to stop speaking for those of us that do. You don’t represent us lol. Yes, we are a niche community and there used to be more or us.
The most popular of the SoD realms are the PvP and RPPvP ones.
I had a couple of characters on ED prior to WM. It was medium to barely high pop. It wasn’t a massive pop.
Don’t credit realm popularity to the pvp setting. Thats just insanely flawed logic. Credit the streamers and their little fanbois. If the sweats went pve so would all the sheep.
