Naw. I don’t play alts as is because I hate leveling. Doing it from scratch when I’ve got all my stuff now sounds like a colossal waste of time. I’m good where I am thanks.

No LFG - that’s m+, which is already a boring round of rejections and ‘lf 1 tank 2 dps 1 heals, must have IO 2k+, +2 ToP’.
Goldselling was a thing long before the cash shop and it will still be done in your new shinypants server - heck, it’s endemic in wow classic, so boosts and carries will still be sold on the reg. As for no pets, mounts or achieves carrying over, if you want the experience of starting fresh from scratch, you can set up an EU account for very little.

I also think this would start off like classic with a semi-big rush and then slowly dissipate.

Once people progress and the server economy strengthens, you’d be just like Classic servers where trade chat is flooded with people selling runs for gold.
I know you’re right. Maybe Blizzard could hire an actual GM to police that server with scrutiny. Wishful thinking, I know.
With the exception of CRZ, none of the other options are improvements to retail.
Meaning, retail is better because it has them, so I don’t know that the way retail currently works, not having those things would be more enjoyable in any way.
CRZ is lazy, outdated, flawed tech that needs to be addressed but I don’t know that continuing to fragment the wow population into “versions” of wow helps anyone.

I was so disappointed on my first Horde character to discover all my stuff carried over. I’d love to be able to replay the game.
Can they get rid of scaling, sort out leveling and make the open world more challenging too?

Never. That spam noise is all driven by instant grat from token sales>carry purchasing.
Classic servers suffer carry spam, sadly.
These players always resort to others not being civil, when they don’t like other’s arguments.
