If they do "Tinkerer" at all, it should be a Hunter Tree

Yeah see…I hate all of this. Lore approved or not.

So you don’t like the game

You hate all of it?
Well I love all of it.

What our opinions are don’t matter. What Does matter is that these things are already in game.

Why does him not liking the idea of tinker healers mean he dislikes the game? What was your logic in reaching that conclusion?

We have automated robots. Drones. Space lasers. Why do we have standing armies? Mailmen? Horses? We’ve seen the industrial manufacture of this stuff - there is no logical reason that the races of Azeroth have not made this technology available to the general populace.

But once you do so, the fantasy falls apart. So it doesn’t happen. Not because it shouldn’t according to the internal logic of the universe, but because they want to maintain that iconic fantasy setting.

That’s the definition of a plothole.

It’s a part of the game.
If he doesn’t like it.
Then he doesn’t like the lore of the game.
That’s fine, but saying that it shouldn’t be because he doesn’t like it isn’t an arguement.

Our argument is that it’s been like this since earliest parts of warcraft and this isn’t just something new

Probably because most of the races can’t make or control Robots, Drones, or Space lasers.

They Literally DID Make it available to the general populus.
Did you play Battle for Azeroth? A Huge segment of BFA is focused on how Warfare has advanced to guns and War-machines, because Azerite Powder and munitions made everything else irrelevant.

Let me turn your arguement on its head, and you tell me how it holds up.
Garrosh’s horde was comprised mostly of Orcs and Shamans, But he also had Helix Blackfuse building guns, Mechs, and Robots.

Why didn’t his entire army uses Guns, Mechs, and Robots?!

Oh right. Probably because Warriors and Shamans are really strong too, and not everyone knows how to use a Mech.

The funny thing is, that the most powerful examples of “tech” in Warcraft are literally just magic.

Dimensional Ships like the Vindicaar, which hosts the aforementioned orbital bombardment cannon are basically magical fortresses powered by Naaru. Most (all?) large legion machines, like Fel Reavers and their own versions of dimensional ships are also powered by magic.

Tech fits very naturally within the Warcraft universe, both augmenting martial aspects (like seen in HotS/WC3 Tinkers) or magical aspects, like the tech I mentioned above.

It’s not like the Harry Potter universe where you have to ignore the fact that guns exist and are far more effective for killing people than apparently the one spell for that purpose.

yes, that is correct

Saying tinker healing specs are deep-rooted in the lore is a bit disingenuous don’t you think? They had a random chance of popping up in an island expedition of all places. Hardly the place to look for groundbreaking lore revelations.

" I hate Sylvanas’ story but I own all of the books and love most of the lore"
“Yeah, buddy? Sounds like you hate the game.”

You sound so ungodly unreasonable lmfao

Pressing a view that we shouldn’t utilize a part of the lore because he doesn’t like it isn’t?

But this is clearly wrong, cause he’s rejecting like half of it by saying that he doesn’t like the “scifi” aspect

If Blizzard can pull Mistweavers out of their rear, someone actually learning how to heal wounds beyond slapping a bandaid on it or asking their cosmic sugar daddy for some healing juice should hardly raise any eyebrows.

I think We should have Druid NPCs at Hyjal, and characters like Malfurion and Hamuul.
But We shouldn’t have playable Druids. that’s just too much.

Doesn’t matter. We have Horde and Alliance. Horde has Goblins. Alliance has Gnomes.

… the Kul Tirans, perhaps. We haven’t seen anything else.

That’s literally the plothole. You don’t even need Warriors and Shamans when automated robots exist. If they’re available, sure, use them, but logic requires that when this technology is available at an industrial level that the technology is used at an industrial level.

Those Shamans should be converted into batteries and those Warriors into Operators. That’s progress. Which is necessitated by the existence of this technology. The plothole is that this is not happening.

Could you build whatever device you’re typing on from scratch? Do you need to have that level of knowledge to use it? Do you need to have any level of knowledge to operate technology that function autonomously?

Once again, an NPC on an island expedition that sends bots to heal their NPC teammates is hardly “a part of the lore”. It is a gameplay mechanic. It is no more a part of the lore than Winston from Overwatch is in the lore because he is a companion pet. I mean, he is part of the game right?

What? Nobody said anything about the sci-fi part of the story. Just that Sylvanas’ story has been concocted out of think air.

there are innkeeper npcs

why don’t we have innkeeper class

Oh, I’m not arguing it can’t happen, sure it can. I’m just saying that I think tinkers sound like possibly the most boring class that could be introduced into the game. Personally, I think they are stupid, uninspired, and boring. But people are open to feel differently. I fully acknowledge they could exist.

But I digress. You’re going to champion the class regardless of whatever argument is presented to you. For what it’s worth, I wouldn’t mind the class being playable. But again, it should have happened at launch. They went with Engineering instead.

You primarily enjoy what is a secondary element of the setting. But focusing on that secondary element would need to supercede the primary setting. So it won’t happen. At least, it shouldn’t. People are feeling alienated enough as it is.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Because there Wasnt an Inkeeper Hero in WC3.

but there were Tinkers.

You Realise that Shamans can shoot lightning from their hands right?

Mechs are cool, but pretending that Magic, and Might, and Weapons are all worthless is absurd.

Shadowlands Alienates people because It doesnt feel like WarCraft. There’s very little connection to the Shadowlands in the rest of the game.

Now if we had an Expansion like Undermine, With Major Villains like the Venture Co who we’ve been fighting for 15+ years. It would be great.

Some people might not like it, but no one could say it isn’t part of WarCraft.
