as a new player, they would have emerged from ER with a buff.
i simply don’t believe that all of KulTiras is impacted… because… it’s not.
why do people feel the need to embellish?
Because their buff totally protects the questgivers, right? 
And yes, all of Kul Tiras is impacted. Try actually going around during a popular time of day. Right now the zombies aren’t a problem, but people should not be forced to stay awake into the wee hours of the night to have a game that’s actually playable.

What made my morning is the people who false flagged the OP as a dislike button, and will likely lose their ability to flag eventually due to it.
My husband actually JUST returned after about a 10 year hiatus, literally ONLY to play with me. I was afraid he’d be like, “Oh this crap, I’m done” because he’s not really interested in playing.
He was just like, “Zombies? Flagged? Is this for the quest? Where are we going?” so… yeah. While I did FINALLY get someone to return (we met playing WoW LOL), he’s not going to quit because of this. Also, I got him to Legion so there’s that.
Oh and speaking of Nathanos, I loved the death cinematic. And I want Tyrande’s armor. And weapons.
Other than the ones that should be there, no. I have also seen a lot of people posting they’re out there, but I’ve only seen the ones that should be there & none that infect people. I’m guessing that some players who were infected managed to make it out there somehow, but I’m not sure how as I’ve also seen people post that becoming a zombie after infection puts you in a vehicle so you can’t take a taxi anywhere. It’s difficult & time consuming to get to the Argent Tourney on foot lol. Not to mention potentially infecting lots of NPCs in Dalaran before you port to the ground.
Oh, well that explains it.
Maybe not all, but I DID see a whole bunch of skellies there when I went for my FINAL day of Rustbolt dailies (Exalted, YAY!!!). So apparently someone went there & infected some on my server LOL.
I didn’t even think to infect my garrison, that’s genius! Always have a supply of the zombie debuff, I’m going to try that after work

I just logged on for a moment and noticed Stormwind was empty. No zombies. No skeletons on the ground.
…then I noticed there’s no infected crates or roaches anymore either.
Did they hotfix away the event?
Well they actually don’t deserve it. I just want a garrison of undead for a bit.

…but don’t hold your breath about people getting actioned for abusing the report function.
i’ve only seen that happen once, and it was because someone decided to spam reports on alts to bury stuff which offended them. (deserved!)
i’ve tried all times of day/night.

No it’s on timer. There is times where its clear no zombies and times where they invade. /shrugs/ You didn’t notice this till now cause of your constant “game is unplayable rant” which is again false.

Except there was no downtime in the 6 hours I was running 18 characters through Nathanos. (Yes, it took 6 hours because I kept being killed at Nathanos by ZOmbies)
Just dont quest in the parts of the game the event is.
You can literally play in any expansion, for a week it wont kill you to level in tbc wod mop etc
