If the LFG system is so good, why aren’t pvpers forced to use it?

How bout some consistency blizzard? If you honestly believe the LFG system is the best way forward to “build the community” then why can a pvper go to a major city, click on an NPC, queue for a BG, have his group created for him, be teleported to the BG instantaneously and then returned to the exact same spot once the BG was over.

If you truly believed the reasoning behind the LFG system, then you need to disable cross faction, auto grouping and teleporting for all pvp content.

Make pvpers use the LFG window you’ve created. Let them form 40 man AV groups, 15 man AB groups and 10 man WSG groups by spamming /4 like pvers have to do. Let them travel to the BGs in the open world and use summoning stones to summon their lazy group mates

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander as they say

I get the point, but lets not tempt blizzard to ruin 2 things just because they ruined 1

You do realize a lot of anti-RDFers would support this, right?

This isn’t the “slam-dunk” that you think it is.

That sure sounds like a lot of social interaction.

It would be interesting if they added ‘Dungeon Masters’ next to ‘Battleground Masters’ in the cities.

Was there always battlemasters? Like, was there a certain point in OG Vanilla that you had to queue at the entrance to the battleground and that was the ONLY way?

I was like 12 at the time so I can’t recall.

Before the bg update at like 1.9 or something, yes you actually had to go to SS/TM to queue AB, etc.

Exactly. Lots of opportunities for social interaction while all together in the city.

It’s funny cus I actually queue AV outside of Tarren Mill all the time.

I did in Classic while grinding rep for the trinket.

Gotcha—thanks for the response. Was just curious really how that transition happened

You don’t have to use it because it’s the best thing ever. You have to use it because it is the default tool in the game.

They aren’t going to put in multiple different systems.

Why would they do that?

You either use the default tool or the old fashion way of using chat.

I think making people interact with other players is one of the main driving points to not add dungeon finder.

If making the UI only available at a Dungeon Master, it could easily solve a lot of the outcry we are seeing I believe. It would have players interacting together in the city, whether they pvp or pve.

But it is…and you’re wrong once again.

Mostly this—do you REALLY want this to happen with PvP…or are you just trying to use this to leverage RDF?

Do we really need to ruin the battlemaster system so you can have your “Gotcha!” moment in regards to RDF?

As someone who supports RDF, I don’t think they should throw out the battlemaster system just to prove a point. Also, I hate thinking about PvP people vs. PvE people tribalism…when there is a ton of people (probably the majority of people) who crossover between the two in some degree. Then you are looking at a lose-lose scenario for everyone which I’d think we would want to avoid.

I agree. Systems should be the same. The dungeon finder should grab the first five players that queues, regardless of role, like they do in PvP.

If you get five rogues and no healers, well hey, that’s just the way PvPers roll. Not happy with your bad group? Well, sorry… you’re going to get a 15 minute deserter debuff and can’t queue dungeons during that time.

Feel free to use the PvP tool for dungeons. I am sure it will be a hit!

Or, maybe try a better line of thought.

It is a valid point because it highlights the inconsistency that Blizzard has regarding RDF. If the PVP system did not ruin WoW or does not detract from Classic, then RDF does not either since they are the same system. If they do, then they should take both out and utilize the same tool.

Sick and tired of Blizzard treating the player base like an afterthought. We have been super super clear on this, there is plenty of data to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the vast majority of the playerbase support including RDF in Wrath as it was originally.

So no, I want to watch the whole house burn down now to prove a point.

No, we realize this. You clowns would watch the game burn so you can stand smug over the ashes thinking you won.

Oh goodness you answered my question!

So you also realize this thread doesn’t really work in your favor, yes?

Rofl no it’s not I’d be completely fine with having to go to BG instances to queue it takes virtually no time what so ever.
