If people are guessing the pre-patch drops on the 29th

Because there are things that go away at prepatch. There should be an official deadline given. It’s not hard to post a date.

So… people have had plenty of time.

I dont want it to release because of the Icecrown and scourge stuff though? I just want the customization and leveling so I can have fun leveling again.

To be honest, people had plenty of time to get the Bruto if they really wanted it.

assuming they will announce and not just give a soon notice (which was done last week)

While I would love this coming Tuesday, I’m still leaning towards the 6th. Plus that’s one more lock out and at this point one more lock out isn’t a bad thing.

Like I said earlier we will know tomorrow it it’s the 29th. I’m still hoping for that but the 6th wouldn’t suprise me all thet much either.

Problem is if they wait until the 6th we are looking at a 20 day prepatch because of the world wide launch it hits the U.S. on the 26th around 6pm Pacific

BfA prepatch was 28 days so a full 4 weeks ,SL would be a day short of 3 weeks

One thing I think we can all agree on, we’ve had enough of BFA

They could literally launch the full expansion on pre-patch day. The interim is meant to check build stability for the general public.

They could feel that it is stable enough or need 1 more week to balance things for launch.

You got notice on Monday. That’s 4 days ago now.

True enough but the prepatch has mainly been a way to get people to come back before jumping into the pool head first in the shallow end

For what it’s worth… the launcher pre-download for prepatch for BFA came out exactly two weeks before pre-patch went live.

The question isn’t will the expansion come out on the 29th. The real question is will blizzard delay it by a week to give them more time?

There is more to it than that. A big part is giving people time to adjust to all the class changes. Either way I want the pre-patch ASAP.

Pre-patch is dropping on September 26th at 2:36pm EST after someone spills their Starbucks salted mocha frapp on the server. For some reason, instead of frying the circuits, the interaction with the caffeine speeds the launch up by over 30% thus launching the patch as well as inadvertently discovering a new method of increasing CPU processing power.

It’s going to be a wild day.

And still you cannot get a good idea how your class plays until you are 60. Playing at 50 with stripped out corruptions or even with fresh 100 ilvl gear is in no way indicative of how it will play later on. You spend 99+% of your time at level cap, it just makes sense to see how it plays at level cap.

And that is why the wait time before season and raid launch is when you should decide what class you want to play.

BfA’s pre-download appeared on the 27th of June, the patch was on July 17th. It was 3 weeks, not 2.
