I am sick of pathfinding in this game, locking a massive gameplay advantage behind the most tedious content has to be the worst game design I have ever seen.
I do not enjoy dailies, or world quests. Your team makes amazing group content that i would rather be playing. When I get off work, put my kids to bed, I want to jump in and play a mythic plus dungeon, or a raid on a day off - not roam around doing this mind numbing content. Flying is such a huge advantage for those with it, especially for gathering resources for gold/crafting which are needed to raid.
I never got WoD flying for the same reason I will not bother with BFA, if the game design is going to tug at my shirt to do awful content, I’ll just play another game. In the time it takes to unlock flying, I could be playing a great game like outer worlds.

I am the laziest person ever and I hate doing quests and world quests… and guess what, I still have flying… Wasnt that hard in the end… Do all emisarries, and double reward reputation mission table.
I would be mad if reputation level required would be “exalted”, but since it is only Reverted, I was okay with it.

People have been saying they will quit due to Pathfinder since Tanaan Jungle. I doubt the majority who say this actually does. They simply switch to an Alt and start posting as if they were a new born forum babe.

I agree. The world is not even that immersive to justify walking around for a year. If I do come back to WOW for 9.0 its going to be about 3 weeks before 9.2 or whenever they release flying. However I will also be basing my opinion on how alt friendly the expansion is and what the grind entails. If its more rep grinding, daily questing and a never ending cycle of dailies for power progression I will most likely bow out no matter how pretty the expansion is. I will just learn about the lore from youtube.
Also do not bother responding to the trolls that question your commitment because you have stuck it out for the last two expansions. I understand that things change. You do not need to explain or justify why you played the last two expansions and now its a problem.

I prefer the new pathfinder system over having to buy flying on all my alts. Plus it also means that I don’t have to wait til max for flying on an alt I’m leveling. Pathfinder really is not hard to get, if you just casually play the game and do dailies you will get it easy enough.

Maybe. Or maybe the dwindling population and things like Pathfinder are related. We know that they all don’t come back at this point, or Blizzard would be publicizing sub numbers.

Well I never bothered playing WoD very much, largly because its reliant on pushing players to tedious game play. I have only been playing BFA for a few months and already done. Think I got 3 months on this expansion total. Have to say I enjoyed Legion, stuck around long enough I unlocked flying just because the expansion kept me interested.
Guess from everyone white knighting, people are ok with this and Blizzard will be happy to keep the gate up.
Its so transparent what Blizzard accomplishes with this system, not sure how you all do not see that. This is not a mattter of making meaningful content for players to do, but rather a reason for you to login each day which will always refresh each day. Its mobile game garbage.
I enjoyed the war campaign of BFA, that was fun to play through. The zones were also pretty cool. World Quests are just lazy, doing them over and over, id rather do anything else with my time.
