What I wonder is if layering is only up for two or three weeks, will people try to race to 60 just to get Black Lotus in those zones? I thought Blizzard didnât want that? Layering just seems like a bad idea, but what is the alternative?
You can have staggered logins for start zones, but what about longevity?
yes, yes they will and if they burn themselves out doing it thatâs their fault.
Blizzard doesnât ââcareââ if people rush regardless of if they want to abuse a system or just get raiding asap.
As for staggered logins, thatâs called queue times. and thatâs something theyâre trying to avoid.
And longevity?, try really try to not worry about longevity, the game will eventually dwindle in players there is nothing you can do about that absolutely nothing.

Do you understand the basics of supply and demand? If there are 10 people who want 1 something or there are 20 people who want 2 something the value of that black lotus stays the same.

Farm BoEs from mobs instead and you can get mats like black lotus cheapâŚinstead of the one getting exploited you need to learn how to use the exploit. Enchanting will be a great profesion

Who cares. Its going to be months before people have significant gold. Even then they would throw up one or two maybe 5 at a time.
Be more worried about a person like me who can get pissed off at sellers and flood the market and depress it until it wonât recover. I did that in vanilla. Dreamfoil. 20g a stack the bottom end of the spectrum. After I was done it sold for 6 gold high and 3 gold low for a stack. Major mana pots lost value as well. I didnât have layering for that.
And you can do the same thing. Creatively game the layering. Its not a secrete now and might as well call it a feature. If it was a gold glitch, duping Iâd be waving my arms bishing.

The economy is âdestroyedâ already anyway, because today, everybody knows to mine & herb. That was arcane, high-level knowledge in 2005-6.

I went to the AH in the stress test and saw people had posted 5 x Light Armor Kits for 1 gold. I just laughed at the absurd price they should have been at most like 1 silver each.
Donât think they would spend all these dev resources if they thought it would fail.
People would race no matter what because thats what people do. There is plenty more to the game than farming some mats that are going to be used up in BWL and maybe MC Speed clears.
