If I roll need on something and leave raid, do I still roll and get it?

I’ve noticed people waiting til the loot timer is almost clocked down to choose need. I’m assuming they’re doing this either because they’re AFK or they’re waiting until as many people as possible leave the instance before they roll.

If I’m doing an LFR wing and kill the last boss, am I safe leaving and still having a chance of loot? Or do I have to wait for the timer to tick down and the roll to happen?

Had some clown do this last night with loot I rolled on…I would sit and wait people like that out all night just for spite if I had to.

If you win it’ll get sent to your mailbox.

Clowns who hold up the loot rolls are just that, clowns.

Yea, its not clear yet if that’s the case or not. Obviously some folks thinks that’s the way of things so they act like jerks “just in case”.

Had someone do that last night and I waited, what felt like, 3 minutes but never saw the rolls. I eventually left and got the chest piece in the mail. I definitely did leave before the roll happened so I guess it doesn’t matter.

Looks like the rolls could benefit from a 2 minute timer or something.

Thanks for sharing. You are the first person I have seen say that they go the item in the mail. Loot “turtling” doesn’t work in WoW!

You will still roll for the loot even after you leave dungeon and party. If you win it will get sent to mail. This happened to be just recently on raid finder. Someone was holding the loot rolls and I just said “frak this I am not waiting”. Several minutes later I received a mail notification and it seems I won the roll and item sent to me.

I would say no, but it seems my toons are super unlucky, because I just cleared the entire raid all bosses and 0 drops and I left while people were still sitting there refusing to roll loot and I got nothing in the mail on any of my several alts running the fated raids.

It’s already been proven that the loot will get mailed to you. People just want to troll others and lie about it. Those who haven’t received loot didn’t because they simply didn’t get the loot.

I’m still unsure on this. I’ve just “left” an LFR to join another wing and I left having the highest roll on a Tier piece with only a mage that couldn’t Need it to roll, and after completing the other wing I still haven’t got the item

-Edit: Ok, it DOES arrive, it just takes much longer than the roll would go for
