If I play draenei shaman... everything i do for the next year is pointless?

Because… when tbc drops next year I will have to start over? Cant even race change since no other ally shams?

Well you can’t start a draenei shaman for another year.

So you can play something else that you enjoy and then swap to draenei shaman in a year

or just wait a year to start your new draenei shaman and play one of the other versions of WoW available that you can be a draenei shaman on currently.

WELL THATS A bummer thats what happened the first time. it was hard to get invested in classic even though i wanted to, knowing that i will be clean slating it when tbc came

It may be of no consolation but it might not be such a bad idea to level alts and perhaps accrue gold and such to help facilitate having to “clean slate” it once you are able to roll a space goat shaman. A pure gatherer for instance that could feed your shaman materials should you go with two non-gathering professions which is usually considered “BIS” for any class really.

That’s sort of my plan though I will probably still raid through fresh classic as well because why not.

You could find a group of friends, play a healer and secure your spot as the goat shaman for tbc. It wouldn’t be a waste of time, you’d be developing friendships and memories along the way

The gold you make isn’t going to dissapear, neither will all the boe twink items you can farm to gear out your shaman. Won’t exactly be a clean slate.

I’m in the same boat but I’m fine making my alts first…

But ONLY if Blizzard promises we won’t get forced into Wrath again.

If this doesn’t end with TBC Era, I’m not interested.

I’M NOT FALLING FOR IT AGAIN.

Same boat
I like to play Paladin but I like to play horde and I really dont like leveling Alliance side at all, nor their major cities.

We asked for an Era TBC server and they gave us Classic again, we’ve already been playing that for years. Talk about actually ignoring player feedback

How will you be clean slating it? You can literally prepare everything for your new shaman before it launches. You can have everything to level up all their professions in one day. You can have gear for them to level up with.

I wanted to play either drenair shaman or BE paladin on launch
looks like they just dont give a crap about TBC

Found the disguised Dev that doesn’t want to admit they failed.

Whatever you do now or later is pointless, because you don’t know if the realm will even progress to wrath or not.

Plus, you don’t even know if the server will make it to TBC or not, or if it will be playable by then.

Make a gold farming toon and start stocking up. Outlands Epic Flying isn’t cheap.

Thats what I’m sayin. You have a full year to prepare. You don’t even have to go to raids or anything. Just play the game. Level a mage for the portals and AOE farming and just log on a couple times a week and farm gold. Go into TBC with the richest shaman on the server because you only spent gold on farming gear and a mount.

Even toward the end of classic mages get that super fancy water that people will pay for. You just have to stand in IF or Org and sell water. Like its so easy to prepare.

Im in the same boat. I love my shaman so much im going horde for classic classic just so i can be a shaman

No you can make a character in vanilla that eventually becomes your farming alt.

You could just make a mage or hunter and farm gold for your upcoming TBC shaman.

Otherwise I’d just go play something else until TBC comes.

hey, at least you get TBC. they won’t even give it to us HC players.
