If I mostly want to play BGs and War Mode, which spec might be best for me?

Unfortunately, a lot of the best classes / specs in this category aren’t necessarily things that I enjoy playing. I don’t want to play MM Hunter or Balance Druid or Ret Paladin just because they’re good. I need to like my spec to enjoy the game, so I’m mostly looking at these:

  • Frost Death Knight
  • Outlaw Rogue
  • Survival Hunter
  • Enhancement Shaman
  • Destruction Warlock
  • Fire Mage

Right now, from watching duels it looks Enhancement is actually really strong in 1v1 situations where dampening doesn’t exist, as is Destruction. I’m guessing in wPvP though where you may not be able to already “set up” your mobility options though, Warlock is less powerful.

I see most Mages lose duels, and honestly never see SV Hunters or Outlaw Rogues out and about dueling or even run into them much in wPvP.

For BGs I’m guessing DK for grip and AoE damage and Warlocks for gate and healthstones and the time you ever do get to cast, just absolutely obliterating someone with a rain of CC and Chaos Bolts.

Totally could be wrong though. Happy to play any of these but want to know what’s going to give me the easiest time in BGs and War Mode PvP and duels. What’s expected to be good in Midnight?

Lock is a safe choice and it sounds like you’re mostly sold on it already tbh.

Lock will always be a solid choice, that being said im probably going to main my DK with all the new changes coming to Unholy.

I have had a lot of fun in wPvP with my surv hunter, but lock is absolutely a solid choice as well.

Then just pick one or two from your list that interest you most.. since you don’t want to play the obvious specs.

Lock is looking very good in Midnight. I mean it’s beta and everything is subject to change, but the double gateway is huge.

Outlaw is a fun choice for wpvp, it takes more effort to play but the control and mobility are top tier. i Wpvp with Outlaw daily i recommend trying as it is now, doesn’t look to good in midnight beta so far.
